Alison "Ali" Danvers

Born and raised in Manhattan, NY. Went to a private school most of her life. Her father is a lawyer and her mother is a socialite. She's the middle child. She has an older sister, Beverly, and a younger sister, Aria. After graduating high school, her and her group of friends decide to take a road trip to California before all of them went off to college. Once that trip was over with, the girls went their separate ways. Ali went to NYU majoring in Biology, working her way to become a doctor. Half way through her residency, she breaks up with her lawyer boyfriend; prompting her to rethink her life. She packs what she can into bags and picks up and leaves New York, heading to Solana Beach, Ca. Ali is sarcastic, fun loving and doesn't stray away from partying. She loves to surfer, snow board and being active in general. She always has music playing whether it be country or reggae and anything in between. Ali makes friends easily but trusts very few people in the world. She can count her close friends on one hand.

Makayla Shephard

While living in New Hampshire, Makayla went through high school and most of college being the average girl next door. She went to Catholic private school to become a nurse, dated the same boy she'd been dating since midway through high school, and never behaved badly or inappropriately toward anyone. However, one day just before her senior year in college, she snapped; she realized how she'd had her whole life mapped out so perfectly that there was no surprises or adventure or interest left. So, without a second thought, Makayla dumped her boyfriend of nearly five years and completely changed her image. When she returned to school, though she still had her nice-girl sweetness she's always had by day, by night she partied more than she had in the previous three years she'd been in college and hooked up with numerous different guys, having decided that relationships just weren't for her right now. After graduating, Makayla packed her bags and moved to California for the sunshine and to start her career in nursing. In the few months she's been there, she has continued the same behavior she's had since her senior year of college - drinking, partying, and hooking up - and tells her friends that she'll never have another serious relationship (she values her independence too much; doesn't want a man to tie her down and tell her what to do!); however, it's obvious that every time she sees a U.S. Army, Air Force, or Marine boy dressed in his uniform, she visibly swoons and almost immediately reverts back to the girl she used to be until they're not in her range of sight, leading most people that know her to disbelieve her statement. She also is obsessed with the New England Patriot's tight-end, Rob Gronkowski (if you know football haha).

Brody Daniels

One of the top surfers from the United States. Recently retired from competitions to help out his father run the local surf shop. Teaches surfing on the side to put a few extra dollars in his pocket. He's funny, caring, he would give a stranger his shirt off his back if he had to. Recently broke up with his girlfriend due to distance. He doesn't take life too seriously. Always sees the bright side of everything.

Born Carson Marshall. He was born into a military family in Texas. His father was a General in the Army like his father before him. Cash entered the Army after high school and a few years later was honorable discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. After leaving the Army, he moved to California settling in Solana Beach after touring various beach towns. He became a surfer and changed his name from Carson to Cash; just Cash. He gives surf lessons with Brody on the weekends and runs a rather successful bar called The Oasis at night. Cash can be an asshole when you first meet him but once you get to know him, he's quite the teddy bear.

Hendrix is the local grower and seller of Weed. He has a major in Botany and graduated from UCLA. He's lived in California his whole life. He moved to Solana Beach to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. Most of his Weed goes to medical clubs because he knows the healing powers of it. He is a modern day Hippie. He lives his life without a care in the world. He cares about people maybe too much and that always gets him hurt.

Owner of the local Cafe, Java Hut. A widower. Her husband died two years ago from cancer. Both her sons have died while serving the country in the Navy SEALs. Moved to Solana Beach after retiring from Wall Street.

Grace, or Gracie as she likes to be called, was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California until tragedy stuck and the Allen couple died in a boating mishap, leaving their daughter behind. At the group home she had no friends, and at school people started straying from her. Without proper address and no one to pay her tuition, the private school she was attending kicked her out. Entering her first year of high school as that girl with no parents, as that stuck-up uniform school girl seemed like it was going to be the worst. And then Gracie was saved by the Rogers family, who decided a child was just what they needed. Solana Beach, Ca was her new home; surfing and psychology became her world.

Ali's older sister. Married at the age of 24 to her high school sweetheart, Daniel. Has two kids, a son Aiden (4) and a daughter Maddi (2). She's a stay-at-home mother while Daniel works for the NYPD as a homicide detective.
