His parents hadn't accepted his orientation resulting in him falling in love with a convict. While breaking into ACE chemical plant with his boyfriend, Archie had taken a fall into a vat which altered his body drastically. His Hair had changed from black to a neon pink, along with his eyes; He developed large white angel wings, burn marks on his arms in shapes of distorted hearts, and a high tolerance to pain. He now works as a mercenary for the mad scientist who saved him, Dr. LeHart, often jumping sides between good and evil.

However, Gregory didn't want to live in the shadows of a former side kick, and took on a new alias, Sparrow. When Batman/Bruce Wayne had left Gotham, Sparrow had to step up as Gothams new Dark Knight.
