Yamari is a self-conscious teen who can't always make good decisions. She cares about her friends, her family, and her new found relationship with her oldest friend, Andrew, so much that she is willing to sacrifice herself and everything she has for them. She's brave and truly intelligent. Even though she has all of these positive characteristics she still hurts herself mentally with her attitude and negative outlooks on life.

Andrew is and has been Yamari's best friend. He is very secretive and bottles certain things up. He is the brains when everyone else is freaking out. He's sensitive and strong. His courage can compete with anyone's. He doesn't want anybody to get hurt so he drives himself crazy worrying. Whenever he feels the blow of emotional pain he turns it into rage which he unleashes on his enemies.

The cause of all of Yamari's grief and troubles. When he wasn't loving his children and wife, he was out doing justice that would turn into trouble. Mr. Lewis would get into a gang to sabatage it and its allies. He was a good guy who worked for the police. He may have been smart and quick-witted but still wasn't skilled enough to notice the trail he left leading right to his house, family, and him. He died two days after his June birthday from an unknown cause. Most think he was poisoned, while others think he was suffocated.
