Has a normal life, has a cool birthday, she gets kidnapped, she almost gets raped, the family dies, there are two types of vampires(which is very cool btw), and ends up in Scotland with a comdeic vampire who reads minds? Oh, just so you can correct it and the grammar police on here don't grill you for it- In chap 5, towards the end, there is the sentence

"He kicked me ribs, sending me flying into my dresser, my head hitting a corner."

I think you meant to put "He kicked my ribs. . .".
