LOL. How awkward that conversation with Mario must have been. But, he's right....hell, if I were Sid I'd probably talk to Mario before Troy too (especially since Mario's been through it before, so he understands and can actually empathize with Sid).
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the update! You succeeded in cheering me up.
I have to say this chapter may be my favorite so far (and not just because you dedicated it to me :D). I have never read a story before that humanized Mario Lemieux like yours just did. Other stories call him a father figure, but portray him as either unimportant in Sid's life or else more stand-offish. I could totally see these two sitting down and having a conversation just like this. It was beautiful, and so well done.
Loved it!!!!!
PS: While I was waiting and neglecting my own stories I started reading your Max Talbot story. I'm only on Chapter 3, but I love it. I promise to comment as I get a little further along with everyone else.
OK so "something else in my inbox" and the comments about the two different kinds of nurse's outfits I own (actually, I think the S one may have gone to the charity store...) - Thank you so much and I love you too! x
I loved the bit about the one Penguin she would get to spend the night with ROFL. Loved all of this chapter actually (the stuffie is a really, really sweet and cute little thing to do... Wish I had a man to do nice stuff like that for me).
I know you were worried about the chapter - but it was awesome and hit all the right notes in all departments - HAWT, sweet, loving - MOST definitely.
Slutty and smutty LOL and yes Sid, you don't have to be sick to give a sponge bath....
Damn Kris Letang! I like this side of him. Drunk or not, it was HOT. I think you need a whole new Letang story now. I hope Kris and Sid can continue there whole man crush on each other now, as it should be.
oh goodness, i loved it. amazing job. i love how a drunk kris told meghan what she really was, LOL,. i was an amazing chapter! keep up the great work. oh and i loved the neighbor. she was adorable. i hope we see a bit more of Mrs. Jenkins.
Okay, sit back, relax, and get comfortable because this is going to be a long comment because I’m really commenting for the last five or so chapters! But, here we go…
First of all, can I just say that I love that Tanger and Tyler Kennedy stuck up for Sidney and Autumn against the media. I think I’m just excited that you added TK in there, haha. Man, I love him, and he gets next to no love in any stories—mine included =( And, I laughed when I read about Meghan showing up to the arena, her makeup running down her face and all that jazz. Man, that girl is sad!
Oh, MAF! I could totally picture him just busting out singing and dancing, and it’s hilarious! And, I love it that everyone thinks that Meghan’s some whack job! Seriously, how can Michelle be friends with her?
And, Max, being all womanizer-like. I love how Autumn doesn’t take his shit, though, and she gives it right back to him. And, even though she seems to be annoyed by him at first, you can tell that they’re going to be best friends (or close to it, haha). And, I love that Max is somewhat protective of Sidney. It’s good to see that he cares so much about his friends!
Oh my goodness. What the hell was up with that letter from Meghan? She is seriously some psycho, and I really think she needs to get some help. I’m just hoping her craziness stops at the letter and doesn’t get worse, like her going after Autumn (or Ryan) or she doesn’t start stalking Sidney (well, more than she already does). And, I’m a little surprised at Autumn’s reaction to the letter, her taking Meghan’s side (sort of). I would have thought that she would have believed Sidney no matter what. Though, it does make sense that she would want to believe Meghan. I agree with her that it does appear something more went on between Meghan and Sidney if she was writing that intense of a letter.
And, their argument was intense. Though, I’m glad that Sidney finally stood up for himself and called Autumn on everything. But, I think both of them said some things that they shouldn’t have, and they both took things too far. I did laugh when Sidney asked something about how their argument started about Meghan and went to their relationship only being about sex. It did change quite rapidly, haha! But, I think it’s good for them to talk about this all now. It’s obvious that this is something new for both of them, and they’re obviously going to be scared. I just can’t wait to see what else they have to deal with in the future, and how they handle it all!
I have to admit, I LOVE when the first time someone says they love the other person is during an argument. I have no idea why I love that scenario so much, and it probably makes me a little weird, but I melted a bit inside when I read Sidney admit it right after their long argument!
So, when they were talking about Autumn going to the gym with him, all I could think about was a sex scene in the gym, on all the machines. I totally think you should write one of those, haha!
I love the fact that Ryan interrupted them. Though, I guess Autumn should be glad that Ryan didn’t just come straight up to her room and come in the door without knocking or something. And, she should be thankful that Sid and her were just talking, and they weren’t in the middle of sex. Now, that would have been interesting!
Sidney’s conversation with Ryan was absolutely adorable! Him telling him that he needs to tone down his language around Autumn, and he needs to respect her and all that. And, Ryan totally busting Sidney and Autumn was hilarious! How that seven year old kid knows what was going on is still a mystery to me. He is too young to be knowing about all that stuff, haha!
I feel so bad for Ryan, thinking that everyone’s staring at him. He’s obviously had a rough life growing up, being biracial and being raised by a single mother amongst other things, and it’s good to see a father-figure in his life again! And, Ryan breaking down in the store because he felt like a charity case! My heart is breaking for the poor kid!
What the fuck is wrong with David? Asking Ryan to say bad things about Autumn to try to get him taken away from her? Seriously, can he just die now? No one will miss him or anything. I’m wondering if Sid’s going to keep his pinky promise to Ryan, too. I mean, I think Autumn should know, but is there really much she can do about it? And, I know Ryan will be upset if he finds out that Sid broke the promise!
And, now I’m finally done with this super huge comment. Sorry about rambling on forever. I wouldn’t be surprised if you stopped reading after the second paragraph or so, haha!
Wow! amazing chapter!! I love Ryan, he's awesome and really smart for his age. I can't wait for that dude to get what's truly coming his way. Oh and the pinky swear, it reminds me of what my sister and i did as kids, as well as my friends and i did, lol. keep up the amazing work!
"You know...stuff like the nasty. The birds and the bees. Knocking boots." LMAO. Have I ever mentioned how much I love this kid?? I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard picturing the look on Sid's face after Ryan said that.
