I am so extremely grateful that you're doing a sequel because I love this story (as do many people, it would seem).
I think it was a really brilliant idea on your part in changing the POV, that's just my thoughts. Oh and I agree with the person above, I like that you didn't put a huge gap between the two stories where all these big events happen. (:
I can't wait to get into this, it's going to be good, I'm sure.December 4th, 2009 at 06:58am -
The first chapter was so great!
I'm really happy with the way this is starting!
The layout change was a very clever thing to do... it was quite discreet, but it was a very cute way of indicating a point-of-view switch.
Also, I agree that one month was a good gap between the two stories.
It would've been too linked to Skin and Bones if there hadn't have been any gap at all, but I'm glad you didn't make it an obscene amount of time.
Though that can work for some stories, I always feel overwhelmed when "two years have past" between the prequel and the sequel, and what happens in this time is either uneventful, unexplained events, or seemingly huge events that are written very nonchalantly into the first paragraph (a bad example, but something like: "so far, two years have passed since the trial and in that time we've moved to New York, got engaged, and Mikey has died, etc., etc.").
So, I think this was a very good way to start off this particular sequel, and I'm happy that it started on a good note.
I would have liked it anyway, but I'm a little relieved that the first chapter wasn't Gerard feeling smothered already.
At the moment, he is very content with his life, and enjoys the routines that he's got set with Frank.
It is inevitable that the main theme of this story will be him feeling smothered by Frank, but I like the fact that as readers we'll get to see how he begins to feel this way and the emotions involved.
The lead-up to an event in a story is really useful and interesting to the reader, not just the event itself.
Thank you so much for starting this story already!
I'm so happy wit the start of it, and I can't wait to read more!

The two of them just make me want to go "Aww!!!"
I'm so happy that Frank's eating normally again and that everything seems so...perfect. I'm still a little scared though, because things can't be perfect forever (unfortunately). I can't wait to read more!December 3rd, 2009 at 11:23pm -
Haha, I didn't notice the layout change until you mentioned it.
I only noticed that is was aligned to the right instead of left. :DDecember 3rd, 2009 at 11:18pm -

And I'm anxiously awaiting an update.December 3rd, 2009 at 04:32am -
Yay!! I get a little scared when I read the AN on the last chapter of Skin and Bones. I almost thought the story was really over, but then I saw the sequel!!
Hmm, the summary sounds a little scary, but I have no doubts about this story. I'm sure that it'll be amazing, just like it's prequel.December 3rd, 2009 at 04:19am -
I can't wait to read this!
Hopefully Gerard and Frank end up staying together still =]
I'm sure this will no doubt be just as lovely as Skin and Bones <3December 3rd, 2009 at 12:53am
