In response to questions asked above: the Thornes have placed Angelican spells over the cell bars and the shackles Bo is wearing when she leaves her cell. That is why she cannot manipulate, teleport or time travel.

Why can't Bo manipulate the Thornes and make them her prisoners or mind-slaves or worse?
