Days of the Old - Comments

So, I've been reading this story for about a week now and I just finished it. First off, let me just say that you are one of the BEST, FANTASTIC writers I've ever read from. Your writing skill is unbelievable. Especially in the later chapters, I really felt like I was in Payton's position. If not that, I feel like she's been sitting next to me this whole time telling all of this to me. Recently, I've been going through a rough time with my best friend since kindergarten (not exactly doing the same thing as Tyler, but it's bad.) We're not talking right now as a result and it's been viciously painful the past few months. Reading how Payton was feeling in the last chapters had me tearing up because that's EXACTLY how you feel when someone you love and care about is doing something as bad as that. So hats off to you for making that kind of situation realistic instead of melodramatic or anything along those lines.

Secondly, I love the development of Payton. I won't sugar coat it, I found her to be a little selfish and immature early in the story (yet I loved her attitude with not taking shit from anyone or backing down and fending for herself.) Everything about her is so believable.

Thirdly, you really captured the emotions and feelings from the other characters. Might I add, I don't even really know Avenged Sevenfold. I've only heard two songs of theirs and heard a little of a third one, but nothing more. I saw this in the stories tab (don't know what else to call it) and clicked on it out of curiosity after reading the description (I love stories about rebellious teenagers who are sent to live with one of their parents, don't ask why. :) ) Once I started reading, I couldn't stop.

This is hands down one of the best stories I've ever read IN GENERAL. I never leave a comment/review this long on any story. EVER. I'll say it again: you are one of the best writers I've ever come across, I can't even express it. I'm stoked to read the sequel.

I'll end this by saying you did a phenomenal job and I'm looking forward to reading more from you. :)

Just finished chapter 12. I was happy that she finally talked to Matt.

Just got finished with chapter eight. Keeps getting better.

so i found this story like almost 2 weeks ago or so and its taken me til now to finish it.
since i have a busy schedule with work and college i read it in between but even then i was always wishing to read it lol. I LOVED THIS STORY!!! honestly i was up to only chapter 20 at like ten pm its now 1 am and im typing this / i finished it--i was supposed to go to bed awhile ago due to thefact i have more college at like 7 am! but i just couldnt stop reading since i was sooo close to finishing lol GREAT JOB! i cant wait to read the sequel XD ( which sadly will have to wait till tomorrow night)..... but all in all KICKASS story i fucking LOVED it!.

I ffucking loved this story. This is exactly thee story been looking for to read. Perfect.

I'm a new reader, I just finished CHaper 12 when she has the nightmare about her mom. When she decided to open up to Matt it made me tear up a lot. You're writing is so descriptive that I can feel the emotion that Payton feels

This made my day! I'm sorry my comment yesterday was pathetically short but I had a killer migraine and ended up sleeping for thirteen hours before it went away completely. But I'm all better today so I thought that I give you the comment you deserve. I am soooo happy that everything with Matt and Payton worked out in the end. I think that the relationship with her father was more worth salvaging than the one with her lying, drinking, druggie of a (now ex) best friend. I thought that the epilogue was a great way to show how they became closer as a new family and all of that. I really think that you picked the perfect place to end the story. I'm going to shut up and go check out the sequel now. :)

This story is loved.

i loved this story. it's, by no doubt in my mind, my favourite one on here. And I know that when the sequal comes out, that one will be my new favourite. Payton was so believable, unlike some characters in some people's stories. Not naming whose. Anywho, I just read like, the last three chapters you posted out and I was all like, "what the crap?!? how'd this happen?!?!?" so.. yeah. I just now got to check them. LOVE the constant updates. I'm really looking forward to your new story and this comment is really long. :)

Damn i just read the last chapter and the epilogue. This story was so damn amazing.
I was really shocked when Tyler suddenly came and fu**ing relieved when Matt came to protect Payton
You did an amazing job with this story and i'm pretty exited for the sequel :D

aww. I was kind of wanting a talk between Matt and Patey, but I understand why you left it the way you did. it was a good ending. I loved how everyone helped her fix the frame from the beginning. it was so cute! :D

...and I like cheesy. ;D

I am sad to see it go but I am super excited for the sequel! can't wait to pick back up with Payton and the family.

I'm kind of sad that this is over, so at least there's a sequel coming up! I'm really excited for it and I'll check it out in a moment!

I just wanted to say that I'm so impressed with this whole story and that you did an amazing job with it! I honestly felt happy alongside Payton, sad when she felt it, angry when people messed with her and I hurt along with her. I'm just so glad that things seemed to work out for her in the end...

this is awesome!! Tyler is a complete and utter dick, and andy is a woman beater, who would kick the shit out of a girl half their size just 'cos their slutty girlfriend wouldn't trust them? anyway, amazing chapter!!! Livi out!!! :DDDD
