Glad you went with the hospital scene rather than the flash forward. I liked this chapter! I can only imagine how scared Annie was and had Brian not gotten her to go find Zachy, that nurse would have never gotten her away from him. I'm glad he's fine though...Annie couldn't afford to lose another parent. That still remains to be seen with Michelle though. At least they've got her stabilized and she's just unconscious...that's better than nothing! It's a good thing someone was around for Annie to sit with...and it was totally precious that Gena took comfort from having her there. She and Zachy are gonna be such good parents! I'm also glad (a lot of that in this comment...) that Leana and Jimmy are okay. Just another couple on the mend. Johnny broke my heart when he started crying about Lacey. I really hope you decide to give us a happy ending, although after everything we've gone through in this story, I feel like not all will be all nice and dandy, so I have a feeling you're going to kill her off...which sucks cuz she's such a sweet heart! Poor Johnny!!! And as for Matt and Val, she better get away with saying it was self-defense! Because it was! And there's plenty of proof that that psycho would do anything to anyone who got in his way of getting to Annie. Which brings me to my last comment...I LOVED that everyone kept breathing sighs of relief when they saw that Annie was unharmed. They are such a cute family and Brian probably owes them his life for helping her out.

At least Val has self defense going for her. What I'm afraid of is that they won't take into consideration that she's in shock. If she's in shock, I'm afraid that she won't be able to tell the whole story and then her chances will dissolve.

I hope Lacey makes it. The part of me that's worked in hospitals and been through codes knows the likely outcome. The side of me that writes fiction and takes liberites from to time with reality is rooting for her! *gets out pompoms*

Once again, I love your writing style. You have a great way of getting the characters to interact with each other. I love your descriptive style, too, because it's easy to see what's going on, even when there is no certain description. Can't wait for more!

as much as it would kill me to see lacey die...in real life she most likely wouldn't make it so i think you'll put her to rest, even if i don't want you. lacey and johnny are so cute and her not being alive will kill johnny. as for the other's i'm glad they are all okay..and brian? hum who was he on the phone with?

I am in such a state of shock right now. That was SUCH and intense chapter. I was so confused with all the people getting injured and coming into the fight. And you couldn't have them have minor injuries, no, you have to leave us in dire anticipation of their conditions. Thanks sis. Donny is such a sick bastard. I'm glad Val did him off. I don't even care who did it as long as they did. I hope she isn't charged with murdering him and can get away with saying it was self-defense. This was just madness sis. But at least Donny is dead and Annie is forever safe. If she had to go through therapy before, then lord knows what will be able to help her now! I hope everyone turns out okay! Please don't let Lacey or Michelle die!! Or anyone else for that matter!

Wow. I really didn't expect that at the ending at all! Everything up until the last few lines was just so sweet and fun. Damn Donny always ruining everything. But I guess I should have expected he'd ruin everything again.

I loved Annie's room unveiling; they took a lot of time and put a lot of detail into making it just right for her. That was sweet. I really liked the motorcycle scene too. I like the little family that everyone is making with Annie, especially Michelle and Brian. I really like how they're all making their adjustments so Annie feels like family.
