Your strength in writing descriptions surpasses anything I have ever read on this site.
I really feel like I'm there, the colours, the dingy hotel, everything is so clear for the readers.
The ending line was cute and I imagine that they'd live happily ever after (because I'm a cheesy romantic like that)
You made one mistake that I could find; you wrote had begin to fade in the first paragraph when it should be began to fade
