I read Matt's thoughts at the beginning of the chapter and remembered the chapter beforehand. :( Poor Audrey.

I think she has cancer. By the mention of treatments, I'm thinking of chemotherapy, but she shouldn't have hair on her head...I could be wrong about these things though. It's not the first time it's happened.

Yup, I was definitely wrong. I wanted to cry though. Matt's so happy to comply to her wishes. He's going to be even more crushed when she tells him why she's in the hospital.

I was actually thinking about this story a couple of days ago. Wondering if you were gonna update and what was wrong with Audrey.
I'm glad her and Brian are understanding eachother now. I'm glad Brian is being sympathic to her situation too.

Great story, I'm warming up to the fact that its written mostly in Matts point of view.
Most stories I like to read are written in the female leads point of view but your story is definitely a great exception. There are very few stories written in a mans point of view that I like but I think I'll have to start giving some a chance after seeing how well you pulled it off.
AHH you ended it on a cliffhanger though!

I just totally found this story today and I really like it. My favorite part was when Brian and Audrey were recording together and he was trying to outplay her by turning up the volume. It made me remember when I did this little duet thing with my friend with me on violin and him on guitar. It's so nice to actually hear Audrey's mother say that she actually loves her. I hope she's not that badly injured... or terminally ill. That would... really suck. This story is cool =]

Nothing went wrong because everything went right. Maybe it was a little too right for Audrey.

I'm going to guess that the bruises are from an illness she has. Oh that's a sad thought that she's sick like that. =/

I would love to blame Brian for how Audrey said goodbye to Matt, but it isn't his fault. Either way, Matt was going to end up with the same goodbye: one that would leave him angry and hurt.

I thought Audrey's father was going to call him, not her mother. Neither parents are good enough choices, but hey, yeah...I don't know.
The way her mother told him her daughter was in the hospital was so damn robotic! You would think she could care even a little bit.

love the new layout and checking out your one shot. i loved the chapter, you almost made me cry, but i took my pills this morning so my emotions stayed in check. I think audrey's about to die. i think matt's going to come back for what ever reason and see that she looked worse than when he left and FINALLY connect the pieces.

But seriously, Audrey, babe, you should have at least waited until after you got laid. We all know that's what Matty Boy wanted ;)

I might have, just a litle bit, wanted Audrey to punch that girl in the face. Think about it, it would cause everyone in the room to quiet down and then cause even more noise and some random drunkie screams, "PARTY!" That sounds epic to me.

Oh my god, she did not say that! I wanted her to cry so badly, to prove to Matt that she didn't have the same cold front like many people had always seen.

I seriously thought that chapter was the ending to the story until I read your author's note xD
