I don't know, but I like hearing / reading / talking to people about their religion and what it means to them. From your story, I can really see the sincerity of your belief and what a beautiful relationship you have with it...

Also, I love this part: 'You were surrounded by the water; as if you were the water. Your eyes held a flame; as if you were the fire.' It's just so... wow. Especially the last bit.

The sentence 'You were the discovery I craved, searching for a haven in the folded, worn pages of that book.' really got to me, because I feel it's something I can relate to... uh, I don't know how to explain it, but after desperately searching for that something in this world and then, finding it... well.

Ah, I'm not good at wording my words just after reading, so sorry about this and that - for not making sense and for going on and on... >< Anyway, what I'm trying to say is: this piece is beautiful. :) It made me smile.
