I hate to repeat what everyone else is saying, but I definitely have to agree that I love this! It was insightful and beautifully written. My favorite part has to be this:

Your eyes held a flame; as if you were the fire.

I don't know why, but that really touched me. <3 This is just a really deep and perceptive piece. Very, very well done. :D

Umm, I really loathe being unoriginal, but I have to start out by agreeing with everyone else and saying that I LOVE THIS!
This was written so well. The imagery is beautiful. "You were surrounded by the water; as if you were the water. Your eyes held a flame; as if you were the fire." I really loved the way you juxtaposed these images as well.
Honestly, I wasn't raised in a religious family so I've never fully understood religion at all, in any form, but the way you described your relationship with your own religion was just so powerful and so beautiful. This made me appreciate christianity just a little bit more :)
Overall, beautiful piece. Definitely something to be proud of =D
