The reason for the eyes, is because the setting is based around the movie Daybreakers. Go watch if you haven't seen it. It's a good movie. And Ethan Hawke is in it. Yum.

There will be more rivalry here in coming chapters. Right now, I'm still getting a feel for everything, but. Garrett's going to snipe at John a bit here in either chapter seven or eight and John's not going to be too pleased. Ahaaa.

don't get me wrong, garrett is a cutie, but i think for this story, i'd like to see a little more rivalry ya know ? (;

I like the idea of The Maine being vampires. They should have at least been able to keep their original eye colors, though. I don't know, just saying. :) But I like this story just the way it is~
