Ah, I've been spending a large chunk of my time this summer reading THROAM as well :-)
Anyways, I really love this and am super excited for more.
Except lemme know beforehand if they break up or something because THROAM is so depressing and it keeps breaking my heart over and over... I don't know if I could deal with more heart ache... I read happier side Ryden to keep my spirits up :P

one thing that's really bothering me is the whole job scene. it's completely unrealistic for him to be working that much if his goal was only $300 a month.

nevada's minimum wage is $7.25 if it includes health benefits. and with brendon being over-worked, he'd probably be working from 2:30/3pm to 11pm/closing. that's 9 to 9 and a half hours a day.

assuming this is what you're going for, he'd make $65.25 dollars a day. With the sound of it, he's doing this everyday (although would be unlikely unless he's the only person working in the store). but with that pay rate, he'd be $456.75 a week, $23,751 a year without taxes.

so i don't mean to discredit you, but if he had no time for ryan and barely any time for homework, that would have to be his work schedule (possibly more since the weekends he'd be working more) and it's completely unrealistic.

but i love the story otherwise!
