This, honestly, could just be a stand alone oneshot/drabble. Though I'd be interested if it was a story, too!
I quite like this :D
You really tapped into the narrative voice of your character; you express him wonderfully.
This definitely isn't something that gets written about often (or at all), and you did a great job of it.
