I think Jimmy is doing a great job! As to Brian being nervous, I know how he feels; when my niece was a newborn, I got to hold her at one week of age. I was scared to death. Since she lived a few hours away, I didn't see her very often and it took me a long time to get comfortable holding her! =)

I was curious why Jimmy heated up the bottle...IIRC, we only had to heat breast milk, and formula was given at room temperature. It might just be a difference of what my friend was told, though, versus what other doctors recommend =).

Also, if he wants to make bottles ahead, all he has to do is dump the formula into the bottles, so he can add the water and feed the poor kid =). Babies will scream no matter how prepared one is, I found out with my niece, and aren't happy until that bottle is in their mouth. But Jimmy is doing a great job and I can't wait for the next chapter!
