How you've addressed Jo's illness is quite clever. Laura and Jo seem to be really innocent characters in this story from how they view Jo's cancer is an innocent way too, they seem to fixate more on the positive than the negative and in the last chapter it's as if the realization of how ill Jo is has hit them.
This story is so sweet. The way Laura acts around Matt, how Laura and Jo reminisce about their childhood, there happiness when Laura is asked on a date, it's all really well wrote and the way they act is so real.
There are a few spelling and grammar mistakes but apart from that this story is very well written. Keep up the good updates :)
Even though I'm a fan of longer chapters, this was a nice read but I'd still like to see a thicker plot. Right now it seems a bit too vague and goes on too fast with no explanation. Especially the spots where there should be a moment of silence. At some parts the story has to support it and when it doesn't, it feels slightly out of place and brings me back to earth.
The theme is good and makes it easy to read.
