Wow, thank you so much! That means a lot to me, especially given the fact that I've been trying my damndest to get past a looming wall of writer's block. I'm really glad this story touched you in such a way :'3

I literally had to force myself to stop reading to sleep. This story was incredible. I cried, like really cried. It's rare that a story makes your heart break for the characters and makes you hopeful when they succeed. Honestly I will probably read it again. Your writing is wonderful!

Thank you so much! I wanted this to be as realistic as possible, so a lot of the recovery/hospitalization aspects were based on personal experience and some of the more really specific stuff came from intense research. I agree that a lot of people tend to sugar coat it, and doing that makes the portrayal of disordered eating even more stereotypical, and it usually plays into the trope that character who is attempting recovery is saved by some white knight love interest and magically recovers overnight and never thinks about it again.

Ahhh... Luke. He kind of came from nowhere, I suppose. And yes, you were correct - Luke died, but I don't know how. I wanted to leave it up to the reader to come to their own conclusion. On the show Sons of Anarchy there's this homeless woman who shows up throughout the entire series and she only appears when there's going to be a major character death - pretty much, she was the angel of death. And that's kind of how I feel Luke considered himself. He still had compassion but he knew that he would destroy whatever he touched.

Thank you again so much, I know you stuck with this story for a very long time, and your comments were always a boost of confidence for me. I'm really glad that you enjoyed it, and I hope it lived up to expectations :3

I'm so glad that you took the time to finish the story up. For me, it doesn't matter if it's lengthy because you still wrapped the story up nicely versus just typing up a rushed paragraph and calling it a day (the latter I tend to see a lot with some stories that may have infrequent updates.)

I think what I liked most is that you didn't sugarcoat Jamie's recovery. He's slowing getting better, improving, but he also has relapses and days where not everything seems okay. That's more realistic than making him 100% fine straight of therapy.

Luke was interesting and I felt sorry for him. I'm surprised he actually advised Jamie to stay away from him after he relapsed versus drawing him in. I liked the moment between them when Luke described what meth was like and what he's done because of it, and how Jamie didn't want to end up like Luke. It was chilling. I don't know if I misinterpreted it but I'm assuming Luke eventually got in trouble with the law again or he overdosed?

This comment is probably long enough but anyway, I'm glad you finished the story and I'm happy I got to see what happened to Jamie and Nick after everything. I don't come onto Mibba very often anymore so whenever I get an email saying a story I like has been updated I get excited. It also makes me happy that the story ended on a helpful line and that Jamie acknowledges that even if some days aren't fine, they will.

Also, congrats on all your accomplishments! Great to hear.

I seriously thought Jamie was going to die, oh my goodness.

Even though there is long stretches of time between updates, I still really enjoy/like this story. I know with other stories I become disinterested in them, or they turn out to not be as good as I first thought they were (there's a lot of those). But not this one. It's still just as good and provoking as when I first started reading it.

I look forward to the next chapter! xo

UGLY CRYING thank you for the update but I hate you for the update. Jamie baby :( I know that it's entirely possible (and plausible) that nick won't find him. But I'm praying that he does.

I love this, I really do. It reminds me a lot of my experience with anorexia, the struggling to get better for other people rather than for me and the hate that I felt for myself. This is really very extraordinary. Thank you for making this real. Thank you for not making it glitzy. This is excellent.
