I love how Samuel protects her...he may be a little overprotective but her father obviously isn't very helpful and she needs someone to protect her from those skeezy boys wo keep trying to just sleep with her.

Poor Blair. Her brother should have given those girls an earful.

Waah, poor Blair! I feel so bad for her, but I'm glad her brother at least looks out for her. Granted she does need friends, but it could be worse, Samuel could be an awful brother. I'm glad he isn't. Can't wait to see what happens!

I started reading this story today and I completely fell in love with it. It's just so beautiful. I love Blair and Samuel's relationship, but at the same time I think it's too much, they rely too much on each other - specially Blair on Samuel, but I love this story for that. And Henry? I hope to see much more of him from now on.
It must be tough though, living like that. That chapter when she finds out her mother with another man saddened me, I wouldn't be able to not say anything, and I would've gone mad. But she's different, they're different, this story is different, it's natural.. in some weird way I guess. Haha.
Well I can't wait for the next chapter.
Hope you have a good vacation. :)

I seriously feel so bad for Blair. It has to be tough to never be able to trust anyone.

They meet again! Yay! I liked how Henry didn't really let who she was affect him or his opinion of her.

I like how you use books to describe things, especially the Holden to Samuel. Please update soon.

Chapter 3: I agree with Crimson_Desire on the third chapter; Samuel is such a self-sacrificing older brother. He's definitely more of a father than their real father. The more I read, the more I like the siblings and their relationship as they watch out for one another.

    Here's me, just nit-picking...

I was ten and my mother was screaming in my face with my Father in toe. ~I think it's supposed to be tow.

It was farther from the kitchen then mine was, almost miles. He knew exactly what he was doing. ~It should be than.

    I am...completely hooked...to this story...0_o

The layout is lovely. Also, the summary made me hooked instantly. I will admit, at first I though this story was about a blind girl My bad, haha.
Your writing is incredible. You make it so easy for us readers, and, it's like a beautiful art piece. The way you go back and forth with the time is perfect, I haven't read many stories that can pull that off, but you can. The bond between Samuel and Blair is so strong and sweet. To be honest, the third chapter made me cry. The good/ bittersweet kind of cry. The way he always tries to protect her no matter the cost is beautiful. Lastly, I like how this story isn't the normal, cliche romance that dominates mibba. It's fresh.

I hope to read more, and I'm definitely subscribing!

    Second chapter...

The more I read, the more drawn I feel to the way Blair thinks. I don't know what it is exactly, maybe it's this 'maturing wisdom' sort of feel to it, but it's very relaxing and placid. I also think it's interesting that Blair and Samuel seem to have more maturity that their parents do.
I also like how close the siblings are; they seem to know each other well enough that they react to each other's benefit and almost compliment each other.

    Here I go, nit-picking:
"...I’m a minor! I’m not even aloud to post bail for you!” ~it should be allowed

And the ending of this chapter...!!! I love how you made a reference to The Catcher in the Rye. It's so true; Holden was the centerpiece of the whole story, and he kept on screwing himself over and over. Yet Phoebe was the helper and supporter, giving him her 'dough' and everything. But whatever did happen to little Phoebe??
It's been a while since I read that book, but it's nice to see references like this in here. Fits perfectly, seeing Blair's wisdom and maturity, and her love for books. =D

The layout is beautiful. With the summary you put in, it kind of takes on a whole new feeling and depth to the picture up top.
The quote in the summary is more than perfect; I love it. It did a perfect job of igniting the interest of the readers, and I quickly found myself settling down to read more. Your summary gave some information, but nothing that was too much. No spoilers, but did just exactly what summaries are supposed to do. I found myself wondering "Hmm...what make the family name Kendrick so notorious?" Curiosity bubbling, it carried me right to the first chapter.

Oh my, and you are so great with details, which I love, love, LOVE! You started off with this calm, reflective tone from Blair, and how she saw everything in that one defining moment. The little ordinary details, like the color of Samuel's hair, the color of the beanbag chair--- this only added to the dramatic effect. If you think about it, in a significant moment in your life, you tend to take in all the little things first. I think you did this chapter so perfectly.
I already love the relationship between Blair and Samuel. Samuel show a great deal of maturity that is almost refreshing, and I just love how he talks to his younger sister about such serious matters like divorce. He is the best older brother anyone can ask for so far.

    Just nit-picking:
“ But, I already know how this ends.” ~There is a space between the quotation mark and the B. I don't know if that bothers you or not; just thought I'd let you know.

“Besides, It’s just for now. It’s just until you find your thing. Don’t worry.” ~the i shouldn't be capitalized.

Oh geez...I'm writing an essay! XD I'm onto the next chapter; will comment more!

I really like your layout, it's amazingly simple but it's adorable and just creates a nice pleasing effect. Me likey :D Your summary is really intriguing and it piqued my attention straight away, it made me wonder who exactly is Blair, Blair sounds like the type of girl who had been packed into a world by other people, I get the impression she never really does anything for herself and this story is about exploring her identity :D Anyway, I'm most interested!

I really like Blair's relationship with Samuel, it's nice to see a normal, platonic relationship between a brother and a sister, and reading about a family that's not dysfunctional. I mean yeah, dysfunctional families do exist but there's plenty of normal families out there, ahah. Blair likes Catcher in the Rye? So do I, the book is kind of pointless and rambles on and on but I still love it.

I'm really liking this so far, I can see a few slip ups grammar wise but nothing major and your vocabulary and descriptions and stuff were excellent :D Great job and keep on writing <3
