I get what Charlie says about signing any contract under duress - that makes sense. But did I miss the paternity test? She actually took one?
I still feel that something is not right with this whole set up. I cant believe that Jon has not done anything to protect himself.

And if his mom cant talk him out of the wedding, I dont know who can. Running out of time.

First of all - I loved Jon's "re-creation" of Charlie's portion of the telephone conversation with Ally - especially the part where "she" called Kaner a "minute man" and that she was going "to divorce him and become a nun"! And the fact that Ally called him on the evesdropping....too funny!

But should bells and whistles not be going off for Jon where is comes to Jessica? I mean obviously she and her mom have concocted the quicky wedding scheme to get them legally wed before the baby arrives. But why the urgency - she has known for a while that the baby was coming and could have suggested getting married then. Is Jessica panicking because of something she doesnt want Jon to find out. Maybe before he sees the baby - or before a paternity test has been done? Please Jon Please....if you learned nothing from being around Charlie and her line of work....if you are considering marrying this girl, insist on a pre-nup!! Even the comments about the fairytale wedding in all the magasines made my teeth itch.

And Charlie racing to the hospital - as much as I would love to think it was to stop Jon from making a huge mistake - I am pretty sure it is because Sharpie is having an emergency appendectomy.

And the "We" living in the house - the guy that she has to pick up after - maybe it isnt Kaner. Hmmm????

I can't wait to read about when Jon and Charl!ie first see each other. I dont think Charlie and Pat are married anymore. I dont want Jessica's baby to be Jon's so he can go to charlie! Great updates

OK, so at least I am now convinced that Charlie has not totally lost her mind.

She is not in love with Kaner - and Kaner is so desperate to hold onto her he is pulling out every trick he can. Letting it slip about the "marriage" - which i cant see being legal anyway (no license was ever applied for) - lying to Charlie about what Jon said at their meeting and I wouldnt be surprised if Kaner either texted Jessica about Jon being at the Cubs game or if he engineered Jon and Gabby being shown on WGN - or on twitter.

There is obviously an "agreement" between Charlie and Kaner - one that I think Kaner would love to break. It will be interesting to find out the full story with that one.

I do believe that Casper is the result of Charlie's first sexual experience. I have always thought that Charlie was Casper's mom and that Alex consented to he and Sierra bringing the child up as their own. That is why she hasnt dealt with Sierra the way she wants to - for Casper's sake. But now that we know it was Kaner who took her virginity, if Casper is Charlie's, Kane would have to be the father. I mean the description of Casper could most definitely be his child.

But I would think that would cause Charlie more pain, instead of softening her towards Kane.

I mean, does she tell him about Casper - or has she already? The family pillow fight....hmmmm. She said she doesnt want any more secrets.

I also think there is a really big secret yet to be revealed - and it would really upset the apple cart!

I have one idea that would explain why oh why in the world Charlie is keeping Kane in the picture. Casper is her child and Kane is the father. I remember early on that she said something about getting pregnant the first time she had sex or something to that effect. That would explain so much about her feelings for Kane. I don't know if I want this to be true or not, but it would certainly explain a lot. And maybe Jon could get past her seeming betrayal with Kane and lead Jon and Charlie back to each other. They belong together!!!!

I am glad that Charlie was able to exact a bit of revenge on Lauren. She was an evil young woman who did her best to destroy a sweet naive girl and it was good to see that Karma had certainly turned and bit Lauren in the butt.
If that gave Charlie a bit of closure or resolution, that it a good thing.

I just cant understand Charlie's total reversal of feelings for Kane - I can understand her accepting the mitigating circumstances of that night, but to seemingly totally forgiving him to the point of "intigrating" him into her life - that is a real leap that I still dont get.

I am trying though!

I wonder what her last secret was! this is such a good story!

And is it wrong of me to covet Tazer's ass???

After all that, I am wondering who is breaking the Tenth Commandment - Kaner...or is now Jon?

Oh my goodness, I did not see that coming. Poor Charlie that is why she hated Kaner. Jon's reaction was so sad. I can't wait to read what is going to happen when Jon gets to see Charlie again.

Ok, I have been trying to keep my cool, reading the updates the past few days, knowing Nicole, that you are a master of deception – that you thrive on the roller coaster effect of your stories. But this latest update has really knocked me for a loop.

I really thought that the “wedding” was a figment of Kaner’s overactive imagination. But apparently not. The fact that Charlie confessed to her beloved Gramps seems to give the unlikely tale some credibility. Yes, it was a drunken misadventure that, if not consummated, could easily be annulled, especially by a top divorce attorney like Charlie. But given the fact that Gramps alluded to Charlie and Kaner sneaking into each other’s rooms at night – eeewwww – that may not be as easy as once thought. Although I still can't believe that Charlie is really sleeping with him!

I think that Kaner is a breath of fresh air for Charlie. He rescued her from an ill-conceived marriage to Tom – one that she readily admits would have been a big mistake – and swept her away to Sweden to avoid all the pain that was plaguing her back in the US. I think she is grateful to him for the escapism – that all the adolescent behaviour is somewhat freeing. And “adolescent” is certainly an adjective that well describes Patrick Kane. But is he the love of her life – NO!

But eventually, they will all have to return to face reality – and Jon – and he will NOT be happy. And while it would greatly wound Jon to know that Charlie is with another guy, having that guy be Kaner would rip him to the core. Not to mention that has to violate almost every clause of the “Bro Code”. I can't see any of the Hawks being happy with Kaner – you just don’t do that to a teammate. And would Vik really want Pat with his sister - REALLY???

There was still part of the story that Charlie was not able to tell her Grandfather. I am hoping it comes out soon, because I just cant see a beautiful, intelligent accomplished woman like Charlie with a drunken womanizing frat boy like Kaner.

I like that Charlie and Kaner get along now. Wonder what's gong to happen when Jon sees Kane and Charlie in person. Great updates!

Ugh I really dont like her with Kaner and Jessica is starting to get on my nerves! I am a sucker for a happy ending. I want Jon and Charlie to be together. Another great update!

Ok - I get that Charlie did not love Tom - that their engagement was a glorified "business partnership" - at least from Charlie's point of view. It was a way for her to cope with all that had happened over the past 3 months.

But KANER? Melting her icy heart?? I just cant buy that one. Charlie is too smart for that. In telling the "story" of the wedding, it was almost like Pat loved being the centre of attention on the plane - starring in his own beachfront fairytale.

However, I do want to know what went down on the beach after Kaner and Charlie ran away from the wedding, before Viktor found them.

What she married Patrick. No I wanted her to be with Jon. What is going to happen when Jon finds out they got married. Jon needs to get rid of Jessica I doubt her baby is his. I will admit I am a little confused about what is going on but it is such a good story and the writing is awesome.

I am really not getting a good vibe about Jessica - she is being both "difficult" and negative about the impending pregnancy. But seriously, I dont care how pregnant you are..not wanting to jump Jonny's bones??? Is she freakin' crazy!!

I think Mama Toews is ready to ship her off to South Africa....if the girl wasnt carrying her grandson - or is she?!

It was sweet of Sharpie to be there for Jon - to drink with him to break the news of Charlie's wedding and get through the night. It broke my heart when Jon started to rationalize that it wasnt that Charlie didnt want to get married - it was that she didnt want to marry him. The 'bonfire" reminded me of a Friends episode!

But I guess I was wrong about Charlie and a pregnancy - although none of this wedding business makes sense. Charlie is a smart and calculating woman - she is not the impulsive type. There is a reason for all this. I just hope she isnt making a huge mistake!
