This beautifully creepy!! Thanks for recommending this to me, I loved it! Certainly one of the top stories here on mibba! I love scary, horror things, so this is right up my alley! It definitely gave me chills! Taking the urban legend and creating this story is brilliant!

I just want to say this is my favourite story on mibba I have read it like 9408573409857.5435 times and yeah it's pretty much the only one-shot with a 1000+ word count that I have actually read by choice Coffee

This was amazing. This is one of my favourite Japanese urban legends. I loved reading this, it was extremely well-written. Your layout scared me - but that's to be expected, and it set the mood for what I was about to read. I also love the fact that you included the urban legend into your Author's note. Well done, this was amazing.

I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of horror, but I love retellings of traditional tales, so had so mixed feelings here!

Overall, I was rather impressed. Your grammar isn't flawless, but I didn't find it too distracting. What I really loved was the way you made this story feel so natural, almost like an actual legend. There's a certain quality that just makes it feel like a story you would read aloud around a campfire, ad I love that about it.

I'm suddenly very happy that the banner was taken down. xD From what the other users were saying, and from the story alone, I don't think I would have been able to handle it. This story is so creepy. It was wonderfully written, and I love how you didn't describe anything, really, but the woman's looks; it provides such an aura of mystery as well as horror to it all. I also love how you made the girl so young, as it was a little more realistic as she addressed the woman first. It had a Joker theme to it all, and it was just...so scary. There's not many other words to describe it. Beautifully written and portrayed, but God...this is pretty great for your first horror story! Amazing job. :D

After the first few sentences I was thinking: Kira, from Death Note and then later: the Joker. And then I got kind of excited thinking 'What if those two teamed up?'

I think this is very nice, maybe not the scariest, but very good in detail and for your first attempt at horror, very good.

Ok so my first instinct is to scroll ....FAST because that banner creeps me the hell out.
I'm not really into horror stories or movies and i have no idea about Japanese urban legends, so personally its not my thing.
But your writing is very good, you put effort into great detail and that can be appreciated :)

Oh my flippin' freakin' hell. It does not help that I'm reading this at night.

I don't like Japanese based horror films because they're so darn scary. I mean really. I don't know what it is about them that make them that way but they just are.

Your banner doesn't help my imagination at all.

First off, your banner is really creepy, and is the reason I waited until daytime to read this. I'd already heard of the lengend before and so had an idea of what to expect, but I still found this rather scary. Good job!
