this is great :) I love the way you use the third person. It gives you just enough view into Blake's mind that you can understand exactly what is going on. I don't really see many written in third person around, so it really is a nice change of pace, and a neat way to write the story. On the other hand, sometimes I wish there was just a little more insight into his thoughts and feelings so we (the readers) can get a better understanding of how angry, upset, happy, et cetera, that he is.
Overall, this is a wonderful story and I can't wait to see where you will take it! :D <3

also, i dont know whether its intentional, or your writing style, or what, but i really like the way you dont use their names very often and use he or she. in some stories, i could imagine it being annoying, but in this it just works.
he wonders if that's what feeling fireworks when you kiss someone is like - i loved that line to bits!! dont know why, but i just did :)

i know i told you forever ago that i was going to read this, but i've finally started!!
i've just read the first chapter, and i felt the need to tell you that i love it already. the descriptions of everything are so good - you make even the mundane things like adverts on tv seem interesting :)
i'm eagerly going onto the second chapter now! can't wait to see where this story goes!!

I really, really like this. I enjoy your writing, and I especially enjoy the premise of the story. I think the whole brother in law idea was fantastic and I think it's written quite realistically. The way Blake describes his marriage with Eliza actually makes me feel a strange sort of discontented unhappiness, too. Also I love how Peter is written. Really good story - and I totally understand the whole not updating thing. I am the absolute worst at keeping up with my writing.

I can sympathize with how Blake must be feeling right about now. I still remember when my parents first split up and suddenly the house was missing half of the things that made it home. I wish I could tell him that as empty as it all feels now that given time new life will come to fill in the hollow spaces. I'm glad that Peter is going to stick around and hopefully speed up that proses a bit. Can't wait to read more! <3

I really don't like Eliza right now for the way she did that. Yeah, the divorce was coming but to just hand him the divorce papers when he didn't even know she was seeing a lawyer and tell him that she's looking at an apartment all in one go is cruel. She didn't even have the decency to do it in private or even the back of the shop. She doesn't deserve Blake if she's going to treat him and their marriage like that. Okay, I'm done ranting now. Other than that I'm really liking this story so far. The writing/narrative style is different but it definitely works. Hope to be reading more soon! <3
