Wow, that was such a sweet chapter :D Monroe and Sidney are so much better than him with Ellie, she is the devil. And I did have to LOL when Sidney got high scores on Angry Birds instead of talking to the people at the event, I don't blame him. Can't wait to read more.
I thought it was cute that Sidney and Monroe woke up together. And, it's great that you're not having them just get together and hook up just yet. Though, I couldn't even imagine what Ellie would do if Sidney and Monroe did do something. She'd flip out for sure. Which actually could be hilarious to read haha.
I'm glad Sidney set the record straight about Monroe and told everyone that she is not a charity case and that Ellie lied. I think it's a good thing, especially so he can preserve his friendship with Monroe. He's making it clear what (and who) is truly important in his life. And, I can't wait to see if there's any sort of backlash towards Ellie because she did lie. Like, is the media going to go after her, asking her for the truth. And, if they do, what exactly is she going to say to make herself look good?
And, oh dear, she went after Mario. Bad move on her part! I'm glad Mario is still backing Sidney through all of this (like anyone would ever believe he wouldn't haha). It's good to see that Sidney's still got some people on his side!
I loved the update, and I can't wait for some more!
I found your story on the front page and I started reading it, I love it! Monroe is such a sweet girl and she's perfect for Sid, but Ellie is damn evil, I want to punch her in the face! Can't wait to read more.
Let me start off by saying that I just found this story and I absolutely love it! It's such a great concept, and you write this really well!
I like Monroe, and I like the way you write about her being blind. While it is an obvious hindrance in her life, she is still able to function. And, I loved when Sid pointed out that everyone needs help in their lives, and she just needs a little bit more. Her and Ellie's relationship is interesting. It's obvious that they're not best friends, and at times, I am wondering why Monroe hangs around her at all. And, then I wonder if it is because Ellie is one of the few people who are used to and comfortable with her disability and doesn't really pay much attention to it or put too much focus on it. Or, maybe I'm just reading too much into all of this ;)
And, then there's Ellie herself, who really, put simply, is a bitch. Haha. It was interesting to hear part of her past, with her mother and her father leaving. It kind of gives a little bit of insight into why she may be the way she is. I'd really like to hear more about her and Monroe's growing up, maybe see how they acted when they were younger, if they were ever friends or anything. Or maybe they've always kind of had the relationship they currently have?
And, poor Sid, being forced into a relationship, and especially with Ellie. I feel for him that he's falling so hard for Monroe but can't do anything about it because he's worried about what Ellie will do, not only to him and his image, but also what she'd do to Monroe. But, I'm glad that he's getting to spend time with Monroe. It seems she really likes him, and not because he's some hotshot hockey player. It's great to see their friendship grow, and to see that Monroe is concerned for Sid and his forced relationship with Ellie.
So, as I stated at the beginning, I've fallen in love with this story! I can't wait to read more! :)
How does this story only have six comments? It's amazingly good, and an awesome storyline too. I love Monroe, she is different to most characters you see in fan fictions these days. Keep up the amazing work!!
I love the plot line so far and the fact that Monroe is a type of character you don't usually see in a hockey story, it brings a new dynamic to it all. Please keep writing.
