Lost - Comments

When you first came out with this story I was really unsure about it.

I am so lazy so I didn't read the summary full through and just skimmed. And what I came up with in my mind I didn't like so I pushed it aside.

Then Shanelle and I were talking about you and I was reading your blog posts and realized that what I had originally thought your story to be about was a misconception. Now, as for reading, recommending and subscribing that's just a given.

This story is incredible.

Do you remember when we used to chat on MSN all the time and I told you or you told me to read Unwanted In Wonderland? I can't remember who recommended it but I'm telling you I put this story in the same category.

You just need about 40 more chapters ;) This story is so different from anything else I've read, not only the fact that you made Zacky have a son instead of a daughter, but also the concept of them having a relationship grow through a sort of tragedy/adventure.

One that helps them closer to being a family. All of your character's are always so real, it's something I'm continuously jealous of. I can feel what they are feeling and almost understand what they're going through, you portray them so wonderfully in your writing.

Professional authors would kill for that talent and it makes me happy that you write so beautifully and that I get to read it.

This is probably the longest comment I ever wrote, so expect the next few update comments to be more like 'awesome' or 'can't wait for the next one' because I'm all typed out.

Ah, I absolutely love when he has to do the free writing. I just love reading things in exactly his point of view and writing.
I love the way Lysander thinks about the whole gay bullying situation. I believe I've said that before. But I just love it so much. George on the other hand, is already on my dislike list. He seems so closed minded. Hopefully he changes a bit if he continues to pop up in the story.

It was nice to see Lysander getting in touch with his old friend. I felt like it was liberating for Lysander to talk with somebody who he didn't have to keep secrets from. Kieran already knows the whole situation with his family and who his father is. It was nice to see Lysander talk to somebody about that.

I kind of feel bad for Gena. It can't be easy to be in her position. For either of them, actually. But the end definitely was a little weird and uncomfortable. I wonder how their relationship will be in future chapters.. I hope they get a little more comfortable around each other..

I found myself hoping, too, that the text was news on his sister. Obviously Lysander is really anxious to find her, but he might have to wait a little longer than he'd like. Still, I feel strongly that they will find her, eventually.

It's good to see lynsander keeping in touch with old friends, yet starting to make some new ones in California. I can tell he was highly uncomfortable with Gena's slight intrusion at the end of the chapter. I think she means well, but he has a hard time talking about it with anyone, let alone a woman he's just met... so I understand why that would bother him. It's still all really fresh.

Great chapter and can't wait for the next one :)

I adored this chapter. It was nice being able to see a bit of how Lysander's life was back home with the introduction of his friend. But I love how he is also starting a bit of a life in California with Jack and Eliza Beth. I hope he can soon call it home as well.

The moment with Gena and him, however, their relationship seems so strained at the moment. I would expect it too, though, having to live with one another after never knowing each other has to be hard. Ly's and Zacky's relationship is so refreshing though, a true father and son bond.

I cannot wait to read more! :)

I'm not sure why but for some reason I didn't get an email about this being updated. Hmm. BUT! Here I am, and I love this. I love Ly's growing friendship with Jack and Eliza Beth, though I think he's beginning to have a bit of a crush on the pretty girl. I love that he was able to reconnect with a friend from back home, who I think I like very much. As for Gena, I can only imagine how strained their relationship must be, and it's understandable. I'm hoping he's wrong about believing she doesn't like him, she probably just needs time getting used to him, and he to her. LOVE THIS <3

I can't help wishing, selfishly of course, that you'd be a worse writer.

For pure selfish reasons, though. I mean, you make everyone else look like complete amateurs, which we are, but you're like.. an agent and publishing company away from being published. And I know you're going to say, "What? You can write so much better than me!", and trust me, I wish it was true, but it's not.

Let it be known that I, Katrina, state here that one day you'll be a published author. I'm probably not the first and I know I won't be the last to say it, but it's so painfully obvious I don't know why people aren't already offering deals. I'm sure as soon as you finish a novel... well, we all know what's going to happen there. Just don't forget me!

Anyways, I should be writing myself, actually. But as usual, again, this was a great update. Can't wait for the next one!

I'm beginning to think that Gena and Lysander are not going to be very good friends as this story drags on just a little old feeling in my gut.
Looks like Lysander has his eyes set on that pretty girl in his English class hope that goes in his favor.
Can't wait to see what else you've got up that sleeve of yours.

I really hope they find her. This another amazing, addicting story I just found from you. I like Brian was like the first comments usually say 'first' or 'I love you' because that's so true. lol. I love how Lysander and Zacky get along, I just hope Dakota is going to be able to share those moments with them, soon. Can't wait to read more soon. ;)

I love that this chapter was mostly focused on finding Dakota. I was wondering when you would get the fans involved. Brian definitely had an awesome idea. We'd do anything for them. =P

I'm glad Zacky finally got to see what his daughter looks like. Even if he pictured her a different way.
It's weird, but I always pictured her with dark hair. =P I didn't see her being musically talented coming, though. I feel stupid for that considering who her father is. Now I'm wondering if Lysander has a few musical skills of his own..

...Lysander finally called him dad. I literally got watery eyed when I read that. That line was probably my favorite part of this chapter. Their relationship is developing beautifully..

There are no words for me to explain how much I loved this chapter. As always, I'll be anxiously awaiting the next one. =D

Um...wow...I just read this...backwards I might add [yes I'm weird like that], and I have to say this is just amazing. I feel like a fangirl reading this...you have a wonderful way of writing which just draws you into the story. The characters are so three dimensional. I love Lysander already...[love his name too, Zacky can go jump, Lysander is a great name...] :D No words really. :)

I can definitely say that I have never read anything like this before. There are so many father-children stories out there but this one is so completely different. I absolutely love it.

The emotions you convey are so real, as well at the situations. How Zacky is dealing with the realization, everything, it's amazing. And Lysander, he's just a great kid. How he is going through all of this, losing a mother and sister, living somewhere new, and meeting his father... how he can stick up for another kid the way he did even when he has so many things going on in his life is astounding.

I also love how the guys are so accepting, Brian even coming up with a fantastic plan to find Dakota. I do hopw they find her soon. This situation has to be terrifying for everyone.

This story is phenomenal and I cannot wait to read more! :)

As usual, loved it.

It's exciting that they're finally putting in effort to find Dakota, but I'm sure it won't be that easy. Definitely looking forward to reading the next one. I stopped studying to read this ;)

Brian really does have to best ideas. Though no one can blame Zacky for not thinking of it, which so much going on. I wouldn't have thought of it either. Knowing how crazy loyal and dedicated the majority of us can be, I really hope they get a stroke of luck and get one step closer to finding her.

It was nice for Zacky to finally see what his daughter looks like, even though the picture in his mind is wrong. And the fact that she has musical talent makes me very happy, considering who she is.

My heart just melted with Lysander called him 'Dad'. I was waiting for it to happen, and finally, finally it did! Now I'm wondering if and when he'll tell Zack about the problems he's having at school, but that's for another time, obviously.

MAN! I love this!! Another perfect, perfect, perfect chapter. I can't wait for the next! <3
