I find that hilarious that every time Ruby hears Adam is near by; it makes sense. Adam is her trigger and her brain functions to the point where she can hear again or something along those lines. I know your brain can do magical things and almost impossible things when there is something that triggers or changes it. I understand that, I know you probably don't want your story to be one of those sappy romantic stories that Ruby starts depending on Adam or starts clinging to him because he is her trigger or whatever cliche this story can be. I doubt it will be cliche or cheesy since you are a fantastic writer and just so happy that you are back

Hahaha, yea, I have been thinking about exploring Ruby's thoughts as when she started to regain her hearing. In the previous chapter, even though it was kind of shifty, I was trying to steer the readers towards the fact that every time Ruby "hears," Adam happens to be nearby or speaking or, in the case of the final scene, singing. ;) It is significant, hahaha, but not solely for romantic purposes. As I've said earlier, he is a trigger for her.

I'm doing great :) thanks for asking. Alright so I didn't miss anything lol well maybe she started hearing a little bit here and there but didn't make a big deal out of it since it was temporary. I just wonder what Ruby is thinking when she heard Adam's voice. For me it would have been heavenly but Ruby is still on the rocks with Adam so she just might be excited regardless since her hearing is restored

Great to hear from you again, I hope you are doing well! :) And yes~ Ruby can hear again though this chapter is more like one of those murky chapters that skips a bunch of things and then gets explained later. XD I wasn't clear on how Ruby started to hear again though I guess people can begin to GUESS where it might have started. ;) Thank you for reading and I'm glad you liked it!

It's been such a long time since you posted and glad to seethat ou got your suddenly inspiration. I thought the sweet scene between Ruby and Adam was cute and I would have been awkward too if someone touched my throat. That's the thing with deaf people, you start to see pass their deafness and start seeing them as an individual and you forget that they can't hear anything at all lol. I have done that plenty of times around my deaf friends. Holy crap so Ruby can hear! I guess the procedure worked? If she had it I don't remember. I can't wait to see what Adam does to make it up to Ruby. He will have to do a lot since he was such an asshole to her.

I could imagine the work it must be to put up a post with so much detail. The scene you wrote where she holds on to Adams throat to feel him singing on the couch was just amazing. Haha! It's easy to forget her disability sometimes! Could totally agree with that lol

Ok so usually I'm a silent reader, but your story makes me want to comment. Can I just say that I am so happy that Ruby punched him! I'm sorry but when I read that Adam was basically using her as a handicap I wanted to choke the shit out of him. Anyways can't wait for the next chapter to see how he acts to the punch!

I had a feeling there was a reason as to why there was a random Jesse scene in there. I know everything is happening for a reason and you giving us background info to the characters is great. Ruby's struggle just hits home with me because I can somehow relate and its hard to believe that something as small as a pill could help you with a serious situation that she has been dealing with for years. Almost impossible to believe something so simple can change your life for the better, most things are that way. The simplest thing can do wonders. I know you it planned out how they are going to meet and such and cannot wait for it. Also makes me wonder if the meds don't work and she still auditions for The Voice, or it works but then it fails on her and such and she still auditions. I have no idea haha great update!

thank you so much for updating. This chapter indeed has showed me more about Adam and Ruby's background. As Ruby being alone and not really having anyone except Carson and his family; she might not consider that family since anyone could still feel alone with friends around. I feel bad for Ruby and as for Adam he is a fucking wreck. It makes me wonder why he has become a drunk since he doesn't care about what Anne is doing or he is lying and he does. So many questions and so little answers. Every single chapter is revealing more about each character and cannot wait to see where this leads

This story is simply mind blowing. I love Adam Levine and how you portrayed Ruby is just fantastic. Threw me for a loop when I found out she was deaf; then it made me curious as to how a deaf person could sing really well but then you explained it in the first chapter. I am interested how she is going to refine her voice and improve when she can't hear herself which is key or even take her in the competition because of her disability. Damn shame that no one has commented on this story because it is well written and cannot wait for more. please continue to write!
