I'm gonna have to give this a chance...the beginning broke my heart, but I really want to see if James and Erin work out. She seems good for him and we now know that Lily has given her blessing...

Still...The New Guy seemed so upbeat and happy and to just kill off one of the reasons for the happiness doesn't seem fair (to James especially)

Chapter 2 was really good. Erin seems so sweet its like Lilly hand picked her for her boys.

I really and truly love this new storyline...but I'm still iffy about it. I just feel like The New Guy ended too quickly. We learned that Lily had cancer in literally the last chapter, and there was no time to learn more about her and James' situation before the next story comes along and we learn that she's dead. Plus, I feel like (especially at the start of The New Guy) that the story wasn't really meant to end sadly, because the main idea was James starting a new life in pittsburgh. But maybe that's just me.

The chapter was great, but I found it very sad that lily had to die. I kinda wanted her to survive the cancer, no offence or anything. I'm really excited about this story, so update soon!

I think this story is going to be sad. Poor James and Noah, not sure how James is going to feel about love again. Love your writing. Great start.

Oh no! I don't hate the story! I actually love the depth and tone of a story like this. I just thought that with the audience already so into James and Lily's relationship, it might have worked better with two completely new characters. But I always respect an author's opinion. :)
