Just got up to chapter 3. I don't wish to condone the use of drugs but reading chapter 2, especially (and the start of chapter 3) really reminded me so much of me and my best friend, Ben. We're 33 and 34 now and our two 3 year old daughters are the best of friends but 15+ years ago, we spent many an afternoon after school and most of our weekends together. We used to hang out at our local nature reserve, Rough Wood and other quiet, unused woodland areas smoking joints and/or drinking god awful cider or, if we were lucky, Ben used to sometimes get hold of his Dad's Macallan whiskey. I was sooooooo in love with him but at the same time, I'm glad we never REALLY got together. We've been best friends ever since and meet up once a week so the girls can play but so we can catch up too. We have pretty much everything in common but but we certainly don't need drugs to get on with eachother now.
There's a few little typos and punctuation issues BUT it's nothing that distracts from the story. I really like this.
Haha that's so amazing. I have a friend like that, too, though we do flirt quite a bit. He's nineteen and I'm eighteen, though, so we still have a ways to go in terms of families and everything but yes we get along like that as well.
and I know, I write on this story mostly early in the mornings so I know there probably is typos and punctuation issues. Whenever I write I just write. A lot. But yes, thank you so much. I'm so happy you enjoy it!
