I love this Frerard so much. :) I've pretty much read all of the chapters(so far) in one sitting. The journal entry idea is really awesome. Can't wait for the next chapter!
@ murderdolls_queen ACK! You need to read my priest!Gerard one-shot! I love it SO much!! Let em know which ones you read and what you think please!! And god, we need to chat soon! Are you on Twitter? PM me! *hugs*
I've been waiting for your update and am glad you're back! I am totally anticipating what is going to happen on Xmas for these lovebirds.
Also, I am excited for you! That is just awesome. I believe the agent would love your story, but if anything I know you would accomplish your dream no matter what :)
@ Miz Erie The UK market is great for me, because everything published in Britain is published here in Ireland too.
It was kind of too obvious and hidden in plain sight. Oh my gosh, that's so cute and cheesy! Haha!
I didn't know that! I don't really know anything about her, I just read her story and fell in love with it. My copy of the book says Emily James Ray so I just refer to her as that.
@ NaturalBornKiller. You're welcome. I try to be nice to everyone. The world has enough hate and intolerance for me to add to it. I might not be able to change the world I live in, but I can control the attitude I surround myself with. If someone says something mean to me online, I just ignore their comment; I'm not going to stoop to their level to make a nasty comment back (most of the time). Plus, if I'm a grade A bitch, no one is going to want to read my stories, or at least comment on them. Besides, I'm no one to think I'm above anyone else; we're all fans of My Chem, all equals in a fandom. If I forget that, how can I continue idolizing the men who taught me to be this way?
@ ierolicious If and when I let you know I'm published, I'll let you know how to buy my stuff. I'm working with UK agents right now because the US market isn't the best for the type of stuff I write. There's too much homophobia, and violence and sexual fetishes are often taboo subjects. The European market is much more open to my kind of writing material.
I was actually really shocked when I started using Miz Erie that no one else had ever used it. Even now, when I google it, I only come up with my own stuff. Well and some stuff about a town named Erie. I've ran across it a couple of times, like on Tumblr and Twitter, but those weren't frequently used accounts or anything, so... I don't know. I just liked it. Plus, I'm bad about calling my husband Mr. E, so we're misery and mystery. I know, lame! Hahaha!
And You know Emily changed her name legally, right? While she was going through wanting to change her sex, she did it. She's officially Evelyn (Eve-lynn) Deshane now. But now, she's happy just being herself, and she doesn't care if you think of her as he or she. (I happen to be friends with her. We chat via email. I'm not telling her secrets though; everything I'm saying here can be found on her website.)
@ Miz Erie I'll be waiting! I don't know how I'd manage to get my hands on whatever you might get published in the future but I'll find a way to get it somehow. Miz Erie is just such an awesome name, I'm annoyed at myself for not thinking of it first! That's so smart, again, I wish I'd thought of it... It reminds me of Emily James Ray dedicating the non-fanfiction version of The Dove Keeper to Anthony and Arthur.
@ ierolicious Well, thank you so much! I'm very honored! If I have anything published, I will make sure I let everyone know. Also, if I ever get a full career going, I want to give back to all of you by helping other aspiring authors navigate the literary field, offering advice and help with agents, publishers, and the whole system to the best of my abilities. (I have a bit of a soft spot for you guys obviously!) I will continue to post fanfiction under my killjoy name Miz Erie, but I am hoping to use a psuedo name (pen name) for my published works; if whoever my agent and publisher end up being agree to it, I'm hoping to publish under the name Mariah Black (hehehe, hidden My Chem reference (Black Mariah)). I do not plan to associate my personal life with my writing if possible.
@ NaturalBornKiller. I honestly don't think there's anything to be jealous of! I know many writers that are better than myself, but I thank you sincerely and deeply for the compliment! And that's awesome about your birthday! (I intentionally made one of the chapters on my own 18th birthday, haha.) My first son's birthday was the 24th of November, 1999. (Unfortunately he had several major birth defects and passed after only three months. I keep his pictures, handprints, and feetprints on my wall next to my bed though.)
I hope your stories are recognized as fucking amazing. Your writing is amazing and like Gah I'm jealous!! But u deserve much more and I hope u achieve your.dreams. I'm happy for u and that makes me happy that I'm happy for you!!! I just realized the last chapter u had was on my birthday! November 25 :)
I'm so excited for you!! You're like my favourite author and I think I'd die a little if some of your work was to get published. I'm just super, super happy for you and proud of you and just... I don't really know I'm just happy! This was a really cute little chapter, too. If, by chance, you do end up getting "Sing for Me, Pretty," published, will you continue to use "Miz Erie" as your name or will you use your real name?
