@ MusicLover525 I'm writing an interlude of sorts while the interview percolates in my head. Get to see a couple people that have been mentioned in passing...
I am sorry to hear about your bad week. I hope this new week starts off better. Great chapter. Kind of funny but kin of freaking to think about that guy following them to sabotage their stuff. I can't wait for the next chapter of this and the Malkin story.
@ MusicLover525 It's always my intention to post the plan. I should have posted the first one and I didn't. I might post them both so people can see how big a difference there really will be.
@ Kenarik Yes! Looking at houses is always so fun! I was wondering if you would post a plan! :)) not being ironic! Reading what I wrote it sounds so sarcastic. But it's not! ^^
@ MusicLover525 It hit me that Sid had moved into a bigger place, I had to find a way to get that into the story. Wait until I post the plan I found, large and lovely.
@ MusicLover525 Me too, but with so many kids and hockey players together it made sense. What I didn't write about was the first F-bomb where no one fessed up to... >:}
@ soupy I write because I enjoy it and then hope everyone else does too. LOL I've also been writing various things for 20+ years. Had a wonderful teacher in H.S. who is an published Author who sparked my love for writing.
I'm basing this story on actual facts from the 2011-2012 season which anyone can look up on NHL.com. If you or anyone else wants to know where I'm getting the basic facts, ask I'm more than happy to share them.
@ Kenarik Thanks for the reply. I appreciate you filling in the subplot for me. Sometimes I miss the subtle nuances that you inject in the story and I am happy that updated me on the information.
I really enjoy the relationship that Aleks has with both teams - as well as many of the other players she has known through her father - although I can see where it would be a delicate balancing act. Here's hoping, for her sake, that the Caps and the Pens dont meet in the playoffs!!
@ soupy Just because this has come up now, doesn't mean that it hasn't come up before. I never said they had a smooth, drama-free life together. ALL couples have issues, this was just one that didn't end up in a on the phone/Skype fight. Seeing so many "guys" for once paying attention to her when _he's_ so far away is something he's not really had to deal with before. Hence the "marking" of her with all the Black and Vegas Gold for Christmas, not to mention the "rock".
It was important to me that she have more than _just_ her blood family supporting her during this most difficult year. She'd be a part of the WAGS Organization "officially" this year if she could, but that is a conflict of professional intrest right now.
The last 6 months is the hardest for the reason you stated. You can see the end but it's still far away. It's like hitting a moving target. It _will_ get more difficult before it's over. Thanks for your comments.
It is interesting that jealousy has not been a big stumbling block over the past 9 years - with all the women throwing themselves at Sid and Aleks being so far away, I would think it would have come up a lot before. But maybe because it was Sid seeing "guys" interested in her - maybe he hadnt been confronted with it so obviously.
It is nice though, that Aleks has the support of the other WAGS, that they could recognize the difficult situation she has been in, and how well she has weathered it. And it is only 6 more months.
Although sometimes when you can see thte light at the end of the tunnel, you start to become really impatient and just want it to be over. Maybe that is part of what they are experiencing too!
