YAY!!!! THEY KISSED!!! I'm a huge supporter of Riley and Jacob, don't get me wrong, I know Riley was happy with Andy, but a relationship has to have trust on both ends.

I respect your opinion and it made me grin when you said you were a sap. lol. But, I mean, she gave up on Andy for more than just the fact that he doesn't want to get married. He didn't trust her and he never tried to talk to her about it. THAT was the breaking factor, not really the marriage thing. So, you know, if you could live with that lack of trust in your relationship, that's cool. But Riley couldn't. He should have believed her the first time she said they were just friends AND she was honest enough with him to tell him that Jacob DID like her; that should have helped with the trust. Still, I totally get your thing about pretending things play out differently than they do in a movie or book or whatever. Haha! I've done that. :-)

ERMERGERD! YOU KNOW I'M HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I'm also glad that she didn't answer Andy's call. He would only bring her down to the ground. She also doesn't know if her and Jacob will last. They might. They could be together forever. I want to know what Andy wants because he's being....suspicious. I hope you're writing mojo comes back. I know I hate it when I don't have inspiration.

I never said that you can't have male friends while dating someone. For years I had more male friends than female friends and my boyfriend was fine with it. I was just stating, that from reading it, you could obviously tell feelings were developing. I could tell it was going to happen.
And I agree, I would NEVER want to go through was Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed did before he finally got the balls and married her.
And I like this story, and I wouldn't stop reading it because of her getting with Jacob. I did the same thing with the moving Becoming Jane. I love the movie. But now, I rarely watch it beyond when Jane and Tom run away together. Because, though based on true events that I can't change, I like to flip it off there and pretend that they lived happily ever after together. That their love beat all odds and worked out. I'm a total sap. I admit it.
But where Riley's personality and I differ, is I wouldn't give up on a love just because he didn't want to marry me. I would be hurt, a lot. But I can't give up on someone I love.

And before someone complains, yes, I know this is a fictional piece of work. lol

i don't think you really understand how Riley works. sure, she was in love with Andy at the beginning, and a part of her still is. however, she did NOT have feelings for Jacob while she was with Andy. They were only friends. Yes, you CAN have male friends while dating someone else; I've done it, and it gets difficult. It wasn't just because Andy had suspicions of her cheating that they broke up. Riley is almost 4 years older than him and wants to start settling down, while Andy doesn't, as made clear by what he does when they break up. If you were dating someone monogamously for over a year, and they don't have plans for the future with you? like, do you still want to be 40 and DATING or do you want to be 40 and married? that's one of the things Riley thought about. ALSO -- the fact that he NEVER ONCE confronted her.. he let all of his suspicions build up until it was one ball of hatred towards Jacob, and he took it out on Riley, which is not okay. THAT is why they broke up. If you stop reading this because she gets with Jacob, then you're missing out on a truly great story.

No, I totally agree. I like Jacob, but I think they should just stick to being friends and no more. Read my previous comment and I completely and utterly agree with you. I think if this story turns into a Jacob story, I'll stop reading and just pretend she gets back with Andy haha.

Just so you know, I read all this series in a matter of a few hours (We're getting Hurricane Sandy right now, so internet is wonky) and I think I've almost cried about 6 times.... Almost because I don't want to ruin my make up lmao.

I think I'm still Team Andy, just because I love him so much haha. Jacob is nice and sweet, but for some reason I'm still hoping she ends up with Andy.
I think Riley makes me a bit angry.... I wouldn't have put my boyfriend in the position to doubt me in the first place. I get the point of 'well, I can have male friends' but the thing is, that when you have feelings for said guy, he's no longer just your friend is he? He becomes a crush and I wouldn't want my boyfriend hanging out with a girl he had feelings for, even if she was his 'friends'
And she doesn't have the right to get too angry that Andy doubted her anyway, because you can obviously tell she has, and has had, feelings for Jacob since the beginning. She gave him reason to worry with the way she acted. Doesn't it say something for him when he knows her so well he can pick up those feelings she's having?
Damnit, I have a feeling this story is going to depress me. :( I'll shut up now. Update with happy bits soon? I miss Riley/Andy.

I know I can't change your mind, but...I'm watching a similar situation play out right now and I'm sorry, he had no right to be suspicious just because she had a friend that he didn't know and because she was having her own issues. He was never going to marry her AND he didn't trust her. There was nothing left for the two of them.

Okay. I understand both Jacob and Riley's frustrations. I mean Jacob had to sit quietly by as her and Andy fought, he couldn't do anything and now he's still there for her as her friend and it must be killing him. If Riley waited a little bit and healed, Jacob might not be a rebound but her not chasing after Jacob is a huge step. I hate chasing after people out of fear of not being chased after. :/ But I do want to know what happens between those two. Update as soooooooon as possible. :D I love your writing so much.
