First off I want to say that I've really enjoyed reading this story and can't wait to get into reading Wicked Mind. Also I clicked the 'here' link thinking that it would be the link to the info page to Wicked Mind but I was wrong. You are a cruel, cruel person (but also funny so I guess you're forgiven).

All the interactions/dialogue in this chapter were perfect. Especially the last two lines, I just wanted to sort of hug my laptop screen (but didn't because that would break it probably) because it'm a nice way to summarize that relationship and ugh, ship feelings.

I feel all relatively warm and fluffy inside despite the fact that I know painful things are to come. So I'm just going to hold onto this fluffy feeling until Saturday, and until then I'm going to be interested to see what you're going to do with what you've told me so far.

Also 'the end of the Kennedy saga for the time being'? Does that mean Wicked Mind isn't going to be entirely in her POV? Or am I interpreting that wrong?

Anyway, here's to looking forward to what comes next.

  • Why do I get the feeling she's like a quadruple agent?

  • You would leave it at a cliffhanger.

I liked the nice turn of events here. And Rocko's POV of sorts. It was interesting to get things from his perspective. Steve's impassive expressions were perfect considering the situation.

Looking forward to more as usual!

  • I have fallen in love with this story. It's so amazing. :)))

  • I can just imagine Loki's expression while trying to entertain himself watching Jersey Shore or something.

At first when I read the part about the crack in the concrete from Freyja's impact, I thought she was dead and I was super sad, but then I remembered that she's an Asgardian so she has more endurance than a normal person. But still, the story isn't over so I'm not breathing any sighs of relief quite yet.

You really know how to slip in the Kennedy/Steve feelings, don't you? Especially the part where she listens to his message three times.

I almost can't believe that this story will be over in two chapters, but I won't shed any tears because there's still Wicked Mind. Looking forward to the next chapter as always!

  • Ah, I love the story. And I'm so sorry for never commenting, I usually just read on my phone. But seriously, I'm so stoked for what's going next and happy every time I see that you update. I'm kind of excited to see what will happen when they find out that Kylie is Kennedy and especially what happens with her and Steve. Ahhh :3

  • Clint is the greatest. He's the least likely to come across as duplicitous because of how casual he is about things, and that's what throws people off guard when he uses that to his advantage. It's the best.

Well, damn. Kennedy actually got a smile from Loki.

And actual damn. Shit. Not good. Not good at all. You need to update again like, yesterday because it's just cruel to me to end the chapter like that.
    January 1st, 2013 at 12:43am
  • I'm glad she got away from him, and glad she was lucky enough to be able to do so, because that situation was spiraling out of control super fast and the result would not have been pretty >.<<br />
I'm also relieved she had someone left to go to and that Rocko was there for her, but I'm also worried because Fury obviously knows where Rocko is staying because he's taking care of Rose, which makes me worry that the place is being watched and that they're going to know she's there now. So I'm worried but looking forward to see if anything is going to possibly come of that.

    Update soon!

  • I want the Russian to fall in love with Kennedy:3
    December 27th, 2012 at 01:32am
  • DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST END IT THERE? That ending just makes me want to cry in a hole and drown in feels.
I'll be honest when I say I don't know much about the comic versin of avengers (just the little scans you post on tumblr with your opinions), but this is perfect.
It's so nice to read a story where the main plot is not about two people falling in love. Except, maybe those are nice because THEY HAVE NICE ENDINGS THAT DONT MAKE ME WANT TO INVEST IN A TIME TURNER AND READ YOUR NEXT UPDATE SO THEN I WONT COMBUST FROM ALL OF THESE FEELS.

I know Natasha can't die, Black Widow a main character, duh, but she seriously needs some butt kicking (more so than the last chapter).

Just. Poor Kennedy, she just keeps stepping into more and more shit.

Please update soon.. Early Christmas present?

  • Dammit Kennedy, you should really have listened to Steve and Natasha (she just subconsciously likes to get herself deeper and deeper into trouble, doesn't she?), but goddamn. I like the repeated denial of the fact that anyone owns her, though I also think she's terrified, in her own way, if that makes sense; so it's like, she's got to deny it in order to make it real - a believing your own lies sort of thing, like Steve said.

But I also feel bad for Steve and Natasha because being caught off guard like that was a serious disadvantage, but you know, who can really blame them for being caught off guard by that, especially in Steve's case.

And is that going to be the last exchange of words that Kennedy has with Steve? Because if so that's just going to be super painful with what I know you have planned and just ow.

And you were right, the ending of this chapter was really harsh, especially with the implied threat (or at least what I took as an implied threat). I'll be very interested to know how things are going to play out for her now that she's gotten herself into Ninth Circle of Dante's Inferno.

As always, you never disappoint. Hoping to read more soon!

  • Way to give me a near panic attack with Bucky being in the apartment. I was worried for Clint lol. Also it's slightly worrisome that he was already in her apartment and her room basically. But what a sneaky bastard with that disappearing act, I mean, seriously.

“I don’t want to change the world,” she shrugged and tugged on a pair of boots. “You know that line in the Batman movie? ‘Some men just want to watch the world burn?’ I like that line.”

“Hate to tell ya, sweetheart, but you change the world by being bad guy.”

    “Ain’t that a damn shame.”

Clint brings up a good point (which is the thing I love about Clint because he's not some super genius but he's wise in his own way and always brings up straight-to-the-point uhm...points). Because like the line from the Batman movie, you can't say you don't want to change the world then say you want to watch it burn. You're basically saying that you want to watch it change. And the funny thing about the use of that line here, and the fact that Kennedy brought it up, is that it makes me think about what fires do for forests. You'd think they'd just completely destroy them and all life in them, but what they actual do is keep the forest alive by letting it grow anew. Stagnancy isn't good for forests; all the trees die that way because they end up overcrowding each other and dying off. So yeah, probably not how Kennedy sees things or how that line was intended to come across, but it just made me think.

Needless to say I'm ridiculously looking forward to her interview with Steve. And Freyja, too. But mostly Steve's because impending possible storm of emotions? So yeah, update again soon!

  • Oh Kennedy :{

Also I like how Loki seems to understand when not to be harsh or reprimanding towards Kennedy for failing the mission, but he still seems just slightly stern about it by suggesting the things he did suggest, which I thought were pretty interesting. Because the subconscious mind is always interesting, especially when it comes to intentions. That being said, while I understand her need to revenge, I'm hoping that it doesn't work to her favor >.> because it's Natasha, I mean, come on lol.

I also wonder what's going to happen to Rose :{ and I hope nothing bad if she's going to be at her mother's funeral, which I would assume she would be, but still.

    Update asap!

  • Oh my God. Kolby, No! D:

  • Please kill Romanoff, that is all. Thank you

  • There's just something so right about Bucky smoking. Even if he isn't mentally 'Bucky'.

Also, listening to the song Psycho Killer by James Hall while reading this. It fits so well.

Oh man. Action. Lots of action. I like it.

Kolby :{ also this may have been unintended but I am seriously appreciating the irony of Bucky's threat but the fact that it was Natasha who unknowingly followed through with it. I feel so bad for Rose though. And Kennedy. Goddammit.

As always, looking forward to the next update and continually drowning in feelings.

  • Loved it.

  • Okay, I have to say: first line of the chapter made me laugh because it was perfect.

Okay no wait all of the dialogue is perfect, so in-character. "Lady Kylie", oh Thor.

“Because I knew that one day I would be dating Captain America?”

Kennedy just smirked as Steve let his muscular arm rest along her shoulders. ‘Dating’ was probably a little too strong of a word to put alongside their relationship but it worked. After tomorrow night, it wouldn’t matter much anymore. This was only temporary; despite everything else, Kylie Anderson was only supposed to be temporary.

Only you have the ability to make me go "YES!" and "GODDAMMIT NO WHY?" within five seconds lol.

Awh :'D goddammit my emotions are just all over the place. Also, Moonlight Serenade: yes, good.

ASDFGHJKL: it's a little known fact that Clint Barton apparently possessing psychic abilities.

Everything is Steve/Kennedy and everything is amazingly bittersweet. Why must I invest my emotions in fictional characters?

Looking forward to the next chapter, even though it will most likely crush my soul.
