Okay, this took me longer to get around to than I thought it would. Darl, this is beautiful. It really truly honestly is. I actually like it just the way it is, though I can see some possible ways for it to continue. It's splendid.

Oh, and is it just me or do Kate and Micah have the same font as me?

Oh my God, I just got chills. Hahaha. I think your writing is absolutely brilliant. You have a real talent in emoting what your characters are feeling. I'd love to see this turn into a full-blown story, but it's really up to you, what you want to do. But you definitely have something special here. :D
