I'm here judging the first round of the Sixth Time's the Charm contest!

I've been watching a lot of TWD lately so I'm super-excited to see what this is about right from the get-go! I like that even in the first chapter, you've already included concerns about family, which I always thought was something that TWD glossed over in the programme. In the first series, there are hardly any mentions of parents, friends, siblings (with the exceptions of Lori and Rick and Andrea and Amy) and I like that right from the get-go, you've got that totally relatable "but what about mum and dad?" aspect. I also like that Harper has this really realistic aspect of everything, but still dreams about things that a normal person would dream about, despite all the carnage throughout.

The main thing that I noticed grammar-wise when I was reading was dialogue like "If Andrea goes, so do I,".. With that, you don't need to have the period outside the quotation marks. The comma within the quotation marks should be changed so that it reads "If Andrea goes, so do I." as no one else is speaking and no dialogue tags are following. You should only use a comma when dialogue tags follow, anything else would use a period.

I like where you're going with this though! Daryl wasn't ever my favourite person in the series so I actively avoid reading anything with him in it but you bring across a different aspect to his character that I actually quite like. He genuinely seems to care for her at parts and I like the thought of him having a weak spot for Harper. All-in all, I was fairly impressed. Keep up the good work!

I'm sad because after I got addicted to your story, I saw that you haven't updated in two months. And that sucks because I got so addicted to your story; that I read it in a day and I'm like "but but but.. I need to know what happens." I just wanted to let you know; you have one of the best if not the best story I have ever read. No joking, in dead serious. So now I'll wait for you to update it. You are a genius.

I've been having the issue now where I have all the ideas in my head and I want to write them and then when I finally sit down it's just like...total blank lol. And that's in between studying my ass off for all my classes. oy. Dx Glad you got the chapter out, though! 8D Lucky you have a system that works! And hell yeah, the image of Daryl beating the hell out of Shane was so satisfying~ Can't wait to see what happens next!

Well shit just hit the fan! Dude you and I are on the same boat with business. One week I had my state testing then I had my shooting since I'm in a shotgun club and a halloween party to go to then the next week I'm trying to clean do school and had another shoot that weekend to talk about the veterans day parade and then this weekend is the veterans day parade. I'm finding no breaks anywhere D: and I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off. Not to mention I'm behind in school so I'm playing catch up on that since I have had a series of bad events that just depressed me and made me want to do absolutely nothing. I can't wait til winter break though! Hope your schedule gets easier.

What?!?!?! How could you leave it there?! Harper better be okay, she's gotta be. Shane.... I hope he gets what he deserves. He's completely snapped, beyond snapped, he shot his own sister! This was a good chapter though, I've missed the updates. Hope we see another chapter soon from you! I NEED to know what happens. :)

Wow. So...Shane snapped even WORSE then on the show. That's absolutely believable now that I think about it. After all, Otis died in canon and didn't come back and call him on his lie. Here Otis shows back up alive; therefore, calling his integrity (and sanity) into question much sooner then in canon (not to mention Harper being left behind, 'while he went to go get help because of the hoarde'). Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Writer's block is pretty much the worst thing ever. I think mine stems from studying for the MCAT since summer started and it basically sucking my creative will to live. -____- Now that it's over I'm hoping to plug on through and break out of my dry spell. :3

Ah, yes, I'm ready for some Shane beat down. ;) And I'm so glad Daryl and Harper finally calmed the hell down! I was ready to rip through my screen and step between them more than once. D: I'm excited to see how the barn plays out! And I'm glad you did awesome on your finals! :D

Well I begin my day today on a semi-good note. (arguing with people first thing after waking up from bad dreams isn't ideal) You're not the only one who watched the marathon! I didn't do my make up summer school work because of it lol. My American History class is a bitch anyways. Sun burns are no fucking fun I had a light one about a week or two ago but then it went from being red to turning into a tan so I guess my being half asian works out. If Dixon broke my phone I would be one pissed off bitch but I wouldn't be able to punch him in the head because of the injury but sure as hell wouldn't mean I wouldn't punch him in the head that he has between the legs! After that though I would probably repeatedly apologize and cry like the female I am with all those emotions and such.
