I'm not taking sides, but when one says 'no offence' it means no offence intended, however the other participant has the choice to take it into offence. Just making it clear. I used to believe that too, till I read into the actual definition.
I think its a good story, but I think readers were probably more interested at the start than now, but still good story. Im jumping overboard, but let that mean nothing.
