I love love loooovveeee this chapter! Their relationship is so cute and tender and just calm. It's nice to read and I feel really happy when they have sweet moments together (and I had my mind in the gutter when she was on his shoulders, pulling his hair haha, even though the scene totally wasn't suggestive at all!) But their dynamic is wonderful to read and I'm glad that Merle is still in character with his sour attitude but you can see his brotherly side which is nice because you don't read that often in stories and even in the tv show. I hope you are able to update soon because I would love to read more!
I LOVE how she's still thinking about nicking her things back and running off. It's a nice addition to her as a person that she's just as untrusting as them! and has that little bit of bad blood running through her if you know what I mean ;)
Wonderful as always. The accident sounds painful, I ride every now and then and I've toppled off my bike going ten I don't want to think about racing and skidding off in the dirt *wince*
Merle's sour attitude cause she's paying him no attention makes me smile :P Daryl of course is my favorite but I've always loved Merle for his potential.
I really like what you've got here. The situation it's self is something I've never read before, most people try to make a new OC work in the camp (guilty as charged right here), but this is a nice change. The relationship between Merle and Daryl is lovely, and Daryl's trusting of Jo is what I figured he would do. :) His build of a character in the show was fascinating and I'm glad to see him both nice but untrustfull of her motives. Sure he's smiling and defending her but that bag of food is still hidden isn't it? He likes to be in charge, but not notably.
The bikes are a nice pull in too. I figure more than anything Merle loved his motorcycle. Overall the flow is spectacular! You've got good word choice, nice rhythm, and sentence structure. There isn't a lot of repeat, and I find the descriptions to be light but not careless.
I really like this story so far. :) Great job! I'm jealous, you write wonderfully.
Good second chapter. I don't really know why, but I liked the motorcycle conversation she had with Merle. I guess I just found it amusing? I wouldn't really picture him as a chit-chat guy.
