Derreck - Comments

So I was reading this for Mibbaween and I was only going to read a few chapters but then I got sucked in and now I am attached!

First of all, the first chapter is brilliant. It drew me in right away and I immediately wanted to know more about Derreck and the narrator and their background and just everything. It was short but it told so much and was amazingly captivating.

I can't even put into coherent thoughts what I Was feeling for the rest if it though! Like, his history with Jake and what happened...oh my goodness it was so sad! The way that Devon cares about him, I think it's really nice but I feel like with someone like Derreck, blowing up on him like that won't really help. I really like Ace's caring for him though. He seems like a really good friend and I am soooo glad that Derreck swallowed his pride and apologized to him.

Also, I don't like Luke. It's not because he drinks or because he's older I just want Derreck to be safe and okay and I don't trust Luke right now....

But the bottom line is I really like this story and it's really well-written and you can't not get hooked on it and Derreck and I just want to find out if he turns out okay in the end!

I am attracted to Derreck, I don't even know why. But this is so good. I love the way you write because I can't stop reading it. It is so interesting and unpredictable. I'm recommending this because I love it.

This entire story breaks my heart though. I can't imagine what Derreck must be going through, having witnessed the guy he was in love with die right before his eyes in such a brutal way. And I love how gangs are integrated into this. Not that I love gangs or anything, but I do find them interesting.

This is so good and I can't wait to read more :)

I'm here from my mibbaween bowl. I like how you have Derreck in a family environment even though it may not exactly be considered normal. He still has people that care. I like how Devon is the one who shows the most concern but keeps it more to himself in fear of losing his brother. I think you're style is good and I love the descriptions.

I love this story!!

I didn't know what to expect, but as soon as I started reading it I was hooked! Derreck's situation just breaks my heart. I'm glad that he's agreed to try to accept help and I hope the psychologist is better than the first therapist. I love the friendship that Ace and Derreck have. :D I'm so glad Ace was quick to forgive and help Derreck out. And I think maybe that Luke guy overreacted just a bit, but I don't know...I'll see when (and if) Luke comes up again.

Anyways, keep up the good work and sorry that you had to wait so long for your Mibbaween treat!

Ace to the rescue! Wow, I'm surprised that Derreck told him about it but I guess it's good. It shows that he really does care and trust his best friend and I'm glad he pushed back his pride back and apologized. Yes! Him and Luke are going to have a thing, I knew it!! Lol Ace, he only approves because the guy can buy them alcohol. Loved this chapter! Update soon. I want some Derreck and Luke action if you know what I mean ;)

Ohhhh Derreck sneaking out with Luke. I have a feeling that they're going to have a thing. Oh come on Luke, like Derreck said, I thought you were cool and not afraid to take risks, sheesh lol. Anyways, I really like this story so far and I'm subscribing to it too because I want to see how this goes and I'm hoping for some Derreck and Luke action. Great job on this so far. I LOVED this chapter. I'm glad that Derreck could get out of the house, even if it was for some get together at his brother's friend's house. Ohhh him and Luke. Damn you Ben for interrupting. He's in trouble now.

I'm glad that Ben is finally keeping a better eye on him and getting Derreck to see a therapist. I just hope it does some good.

I'm glad he's ok and that he's going to get some help. I don't think it's going to come easy though.

I know that deep down that Derreck wants someone to care, someone to stop him from doing the things he do but he refuses to accept and admit that he is lonely and needs help. Getting drunk high, one night stands can only feel good for so long Derreck. Aww so it seems Ace cares about him too. I hope someone will come and save him from himself.

uugh this story is just soooo amazing. Like everything about it is great and I just wanna hug Derreck because he makes me so sad. Anyways, can't wait to read more!

Oh my god! I just read the prologue and the first two chapters and now I'm all emotional. This is so intense. Poor Derreck, I don't really understand why he puts himself through all this. I feel bad for his brother because he has to see his brother like this and he can't do anything about it. And to make matters worse, Derreck is getting into fights with his brother too. He needs to stop this because one day he is never going to end up getting killed or thrown into jail.

OH NO! JAKE! I wonder if that's part of the reason why he is doing what he's doing. That's just messed up.

Gah! This story is so sad :( but it's really good too.

It was quite dandy. I just wish Derreck wasn't so stubborn.
Other than that, I absolutely love this story. Keep up the good work!

I seriously love this story - i've been reading it from the start but i'm one of those irritating silent-readers haha. you definitely deserve more comments than you've got because the story and your writing style are just amazing.
every time i come online i check my subscriptions for an update on this story, i'm just obsessed.

I actually saw this on my news feed (?) on here because someone recommended it. I didn't bother reading, but I'm glad you chose this for the kit-kat bar. You have a unique third-person writing style that I don't see often and I like it.

Derreck is a little too subborn,he should let his brothers closer to him:)

This coincides with Sacred, right? Because I read this update and then the Saxred update and I honestly felt like I was reading the same story told from different points of view.
