Oh, and Duncan? Delicately feel out and suggest a night nurse for your lovely lady when you're on trips. It's exhausting enough tag-teaming a newborn but doing it alone? Wow, my respect to all the single moms. And they can afford it; IMO there's no shame in needing and getting help. And there's no shame in NOT going off the deep end. I don't miss that stage. There were days when I'd hand the baby over to my SO and say, "Someone's gonna die if I don't get sleep and it's not going to be me." And then he'd suddenly discover a great need to work from home that day while I passed out.

Part 18: Duncan, not all women like flowers and chocolate. At least not as apology. Personally, I'm a fan of "it's Tuesday, I'll get her flowers because I love her, what better reason could there be?" flowers, not, "I messed up, I'ma try to buy her affection with a $20 bundle of plant sex parts." Honestly, I think Corey's better off regaining her trust by proving to her he can be trusted. And, you know, back rubs. And foot rubs. And maybe a gift certificate for a pedicure. Something useful, something thoughtful, not something trite. But maybe that's just me.

On the plus side, he did come clean. Patrick was right about that. And he did it right off the bat, not waiting to see her. Because that would have smacked of something to hide.
