God, this story is still so amazing. This is the only story I can actually come back and read it all over again and still love it like it's my first time reading it. The sequel as well! Don't let these characters go, please. :(July 10th, 2014 at 02:32am

@ Matt Sanders;
Thank you! I've been so bad...I've written about 90% of the sequel, but I'm a little stuck on the ending! Hopefully it'll be up soon! <3February 1st, 2014 at 09:47am -

So it’s taken me forever, but I’m finally catching up on your story! Woohoo!
Chapter 22
Awww! Matt wants to propose! That’s so damn cute. I love how he had a speech prepared and he’s choosing to get Brian Senior’s blessing first. I love how he wrote a speech and Brian senior told him to just get to it, but then when he blurted it out… Brian told him to go back to the speech. It was funny and very cute.
I love that Brian hit him again. It just seems to be his immediate reaction when Matt says anything regarding further steps in his relationship McKenna. I’m glad it was just a slap this time, though. I think Matt’s just gonna have to learn to accept that. Hahaha. I imagine he’ll do the same thing when Matt knocks her up. Hahaha.
I still love Nat. She’s hilarious, and such a good friend. I hope that if there’s a sequel, she still plays a role! She’s too cool not to!
Whilst honestly I think it’s a little earlier for a proposal, it was very sweet. That’s pretty much how I’d like to be proposed to one day by my boyfriend… maybe I should make him read this chapter. Hahaha. I like how it was simple and not overly complicated, it made it that more meaningful for them.
It’s good to see them 100% happy now, with no concerns or worries about their relationship. It’s solid and they’re happy. Yay!
Chapter 23
Aww! I forgot Gena was pregnant. How cute! I love how her and Zacky aren’t automatically agreeing on a name, it feels very realistic which is cool. I prefer Gena’s pick for a name, so hopefully she wins… after all, she is doing all the hard work to bring the baby into the world, as she said!
I like that she asked Gena to matron of honor. That’s sweet. I hope Michelle isn’t hurt by that, but I’m glad McKenna chose someone that has been helpful with their relationship.
He’d let out a sob and told her how much he loved her and that he had to hang up and collect his dignity.
Aww! That brought a tear to my eye and made me smile at the same time. Just too cute!!
Chapter 24
I like that McKenna is trying to keep Matt involved with planning the wedding. I’d like to do the same when I plan one, but I’m sure my partner will be a little less willing to help me pick flowers and such. It’s gonna be hard enough to get him to help pick a venue, let alone contribute to the finer details. Hahaha.
Two months to plan a wedding? That’s a little crazy. I’d never do that. Haha. What’s the rush? Surely they could take some time and just enjoy being engaged… but I suppose they’re not the kind of couple that takes time with anything… I just hope they don’t end up popping out a baby in a year. That can certainly wait… she’s only young, after all.
Chapter 25
“Manly, loud, metal snores.”
Bahahaha! That’s hilarious. Matt’s such a doofus at times.
Awwww! I can just picture Zacky with a little baby girl in his arms… it’s so damn adorable! Wow. I imagine that’s what it was like when Matt and Val had their baby in real life, so damn cute. Awww!
Bahahaha! I love his reaction when she asked if he’d ever kissed a dude or seen a dude naked and liked it. It was hilarious!
I’m sick. I think I’m dying. I wrote this when I could still remember how to use my hands. Get help. Read me my last rites. I want a nice summer funeral, and spread my ashes over Huntington. Tell mom I love her. I love you.
LMAO! Oh, what a drama queen! Bahahaha! He’s going to infect her and make her finals even more horrible… jeez. Hahaha.
Chapter 26
The shopping experience between Gena and McKenna was cute. I can see why she wants her mum to be there when she picks a wedding dress, but Gena is right that she needs to get a move on picking one! As I said before, planning a wedding in two months? What a nightmare!
I’m glad they decided that it’s far too soon to be considering a baby. I understand getting caught up in the fun and cuteness of the idea, but realistically, it’s just too early. She needs to finish school and maybe do something with her education, career wise, before they start popping out babies.
The gathering at the end of the chapter was very cute. Nice to see them hanging out as a family, even if there is a little plus one now. Hahaha. It’s also nice that they’ve moved into together and she’s instantly comfortable enough to want to make changes to the house so it feels like home to her too. Good on her!
Chapter 27
Ooh, a secretive dinner… I hope it’s good news! Hahaha.
Aww, an engagement party. How cute. I want one of those! Hahaha. If you couldn’t already tell, I’m more than ready to be engaged and planning a wedding. Now if I could just get my boyfriend to get around to proposing… hahaha
I like how everyone is being so incredibly supportive. It’s nice to see and is clearly having a calming effect on McKenna, which is even better. I like how Brian has done a complete 180 and only sees the positives of this relationship, it makes for a much healthier sibling relationship and everyone is happy. Yay!
Chapter 28
I understand Brian’s discomfort. It’s not about who she’s marrying, it’s just the point that she’s getting married. No matter how ready she is and how much she loves Matt and all that, watching your sister at the age of 21 get married would be hard for any older brother to grasp. He’s barely adjusting to the fact that she’s legally an adult, let alone that she’s making such a huge and permanent life decision. I’m not saying she shouldn’t be, but I can totally understand why he’d have mixed feelings about it.
Jeez, those two are so over the top sometimes! Hahaha. They can’t stand to separate for one measly little night? I think they have some codependency issues. Hahaha. Good luck on seeing how they function when he has to go off on tour.
“Gaaaaay,” my sentiments exactly, Arin! Bahahahaha!
The little talk between her and Brian was sweet. Nice to see he communicate how he’s feeling without her thinking that he’s not being supportive. I hope her words of reassurance are enough to ease his discomfort.
Chapter 29
“For fifty bucks, I can get this guy to take us to Mexico.”
Bahahaha, I love Brian senior. He’s hilarious. At least he’s giving her all the options. Hahaha.
The vows were sweet. I liked that they weren’t too over the top or cheesy, they were very heartfelt and suited them perfectly. Their excitement to be married is just so adorable.
Their first dance was very sweet, too. Aww, it was a really great and intimate wedding. Perfectly suited to them. Loved it! And the dresses are beautiful, both the bride’s and bridesmaids. Gorgeous.
Chapter 30
Aww, it’s been almost a year. How cute. And she’s finished school, well done for her! I like how she’s taking a moment to reminisce over the past year and a bit and how her life has changed so dramatically. I also like how she’s looking around the room fondly, as I’d probably do the same. Hahaha.
Oh, so she’s pregnant already? Well, that’s fast. But good for them. I suppose she’s not concerned with a career, happy to just be a wife and mum, which is fine. Hope she has no regrets later, but I don’t see that happening. Matt is the be all and end all for her. Haha.
Well done on pulling off a rather unorthodox pairing and a great story. They had their ups and downs, but they pulled through in the end, which was all that matters. I can understand being so proud and somewhat mothering to a story, I’ve done the same. Hahaha. So congratulations to you and I’m sorry it’s taking me so long to read the end! But finally, I have and commented, too! Yay!November 12th, 2013 at 10:12am -
I can't believe it's over already, I'm experiencing terrible post story sadness now D: I'm so glad there is a sequel!!
I thought the wedding invitation was so pretty, the preparations leading up to the nuptials, McKenna sneaking out to see Matt cause she missed him so much, her little chat with Brian, it was all so sweet and perfect!
The vows they made, you my dear are so talented! They were absolutely beautiful, made me cry yet again haha. Their first dance as a married couple, everything it was just a beautiful way to end the story!
Also, I love how cute Zacky is in this, calling Gena Mama, asking about the baby, he's so adorable!
At first, I thought maybe they were rushing into things, taking things too fast but now, I love it. They're soul mates, why wait when you find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with? Papa Gates is such a legend too, but he was so sweet to her, brought a tear to my eye!
I've grown so attached to this pairing, to all the characters really, the entire story has firmly attached itself to my heart and I can't wait to read the sequel, I think Matt will make the perfect Daddy :D

I have separation anxiety too! I'm so so so glad that you've decided to do a sequel. There's so much more to develop with this story, I'd have been so disappointed if it had stopped here! I'm eagerly awaiting news of the sequel!October 7th, 2013 at 11:30pm

I'm sad to see it go but I do love it@!! I love that you're going to do a sequel to it.
The Epilogue just left it hanging because he is going to be a daddy and ugh!!! The baby will be beautiful :)!! It was so sweet!!October 7th, 2013 at 04:32pm -
I can't wait for the sequel, I've grown so attached to this story.
I was looking forward to the Epilogue, and I was dreading it. Now, I'm super excited for the sequel. Oh I can't wait. And this... this chapter, the epilogue was well amazing. I loved it oh so much.
Oddly enough the thing that amused me the most was this part:
“Excuse me,” she’d grinned. “Wasn't it you who was afraid I wouldn't need you anymore?”
Silly Brian. Now my dear... I'm keeping my eye out for that sequel...

Thank you very much
Unfortunately, these characters have been retired! But I'm so happy that they live on and people can still get enjoyment out of them!
