She looked over to the big oak tree in the corner of his yard and saw a big brown patch of dirt right by the tree. It looked as if it had just been dug up.
She gave Patrick an apprehensive look and could already feel the corners of her mouth tug downwards so that her frown matched his. “Where’s Shooter?” She couldn’t get her voice past a whisper.
He bowed his head down for a moment and lifted it back up as he pushed his hair out of his face. “I need a haircut, don’t you think? It’s getting pretty long again.”
“Pat-”

Chapter 14:
His eyes followed her as she walked to the other side of the table to sit down. She rested her hands on the table and all he could pay attention to was the ring sitting on her finger.

WHY would you do that! Im happy that Kylie is doing better, unfortunately Patrick probably ruined her progress. If Patrick was upset enough to call Kylie, something must be seriously wrong. Don't leave us hanging.
