I think I'll post it just to give it a shot. The subject matter and writing style is very different and more complex. Sadly, things I spend more time on tend to not have as broad an appeal.

Thank you! I'll probably post it just to see how it does, but I don't expect it to be as popular. How I've written this story and how I write my others is very different. But... we'll see, I guess.

There are a lot of mentions of past sexual abuse and such. Would you be comfortable with things like that? It's not really as family friendly as this story is.

Was really impressed by chapter 3 content as well. I can relate to Toby in a way or two, I feel like you're really presenting an anxiety filled boy well. And to try to answer your questions, I believe most readers (including myself) on here actually enjoy the explicit content and would not be put off by it. But you are probably better off to change the rating now. I read stories from a few people that just add explicit content into the chapter description to warn readers and it's their choice to read it or not.

That could work, yes. Man, I hope I can pull off fade to black. I've never done it before and it can be very confusing if not done right. Especially for first times where the details of what actually went down really matter. I guess I could just assume most people are going to want to read it and do it fairly artlessly.
