Wow - loved it - a beautiful update. I love the interaction between Sid and Wyn, they're just so good together, and it's really believable. When the time comes, Sid and Wyn are going to be fantastic parents.

Wyn, drag the man to a decent tailor, pleeeeeease! I know that his build makes suits hang funny on him but surely a good tailor could make them look better. And there's just no excuse for sleeves and pant legs to be the wrong length. He spends so much time in suits that he should just take a little time one year to attending to these details and then in later years he wouldn't have to take much time when he got new suits to have them tailored for him. He could totally afford suits for each part of the season as his body changes according to the demands of his sport.

I hope that Wyn chooses to attend some of Taylor's games instead of Sid's. If her father can't be bothered to make the same effort for Taylor, it would probably mean a lot if her sister-in-law makes more of an effort to be there for Taylor. It would probably mean a lot to her to know that she means that much to someone that they'd travel hundreds of miles to see her. And frankly, if it rocked the boat, that would be Troy's problem if Wyn didn't make a fuss over it, just quietly showed her support in person. Maybe Troy needs that kind of boat rocking by an 'outsider' to remind him that he's got two kids, not just his heir and his 'oh, yeah, her.'

I love her sass: "There's always a need for sarcasm." So true! Except when speaking to small children and small-minded people (like the press, amongst others), for whom the humor goes right over their heads.

and you should have said something to Troy, Wyn, when he let himself in. Set boundaries. Start as you mean to go on. He's not going to respect boundaries if you don't set them. If it bothers you, by all means you need to bring it up or remind Sidney to tell his dad. A call ahead of time is NEVER a bad idea, and it's almost entirely inexcusable IMO to drop in without warning if you're travelling long distances to see someone or when you find yourself in the area and want to see someone. Me, if it kept up and they didn't respect our requests, well, I'd change the locks and not give them copies. Perhaps I'm more obstreperous than most...

I love how she's eyeballing tempting objects in the vicinity with which she might bludgeon her father-in-law.

I'd also like to say that even if Wyn wasn't working, she'd be contributing by running his household. A lot of the WAGs don't have the almost luxury of working, especially the girlfriends who cannot hold jobs and cannot stay in the country full-time if they are not citizens or do not have documents to be here full time. 75% of NHLers are not Americans and it's not a surprise that many have girlfriends or wives from home or from where they played juniors or college abroad (eta: Special mention for the wives as well as the serious girlfriends of bit players and veteran roll players, for whom the reality is that they don't have the luxury of staying with just one or two teams all of their careers; a lot of them are traded or sign with new clubs every year or two, or they have two way contracts and bounce between the NHL team and their affiliated AHL/ECHL/etc. teams or even non-North American leagues. That lack of stability can make it very very difficult for their women to find and keep a serious outside the home job when they don't know where their SO will be next year or even next week. Seriously, being a WAG? Soooo not All That, I don't care how good a player's salary is or the perceived status of being with a pro athlete is. It would have to be true love for me to do it; you know, in an alternate life where I wasn't me with my life).

and really? Too comfortable? How is she too comfortable? Just because she isn't scared of you, Troy, doesn't mean she's too comfortable. Gratefulness has limits. And respect is always a two way street. Love doesn't mean you get a free pass on disrespect or boundary stomping. It's sad but true that disrespectful in-laws and the spouses who can't or won't stand up to their families of origin cause many relationships and marriages to fail. In short, yay Sid for telling off his dad! That deserves a reward!

I love how Taylor talks to Wyn during Sid's games, how they watch the games together, esp. since Taylor's not allowed/can't talk to Sid on her game days or his (according to an article on her that I read this year). I love that Wyn is there for her for games. Apparently Trina isn't allowed to be in the building on game days either, nor is she allowed to speak to him. Poor Trina and Taylor. Perhaps if Troy ever gets over his snit, Wyn could watch away games at home with Trina when Troy attends those games.

Also, bad call, Sid, on not running Jack by your wife before inviting him over for dinner. Bad, bad call. Don't do that sort of thing. I hope he understood that it's not ok when she said she was going to invite Sebastian and didn't ask him.

I love this line: "Eat your steak before I shove it up your ass." Such snappy dialog! I love it!

I'd say "In short, this was awesome!" but obviously I'm absolute pants at being concise. I hope you'll forgive me. Yay anyway?

First of all, Kudos to Sid for standing up to Troy. Again. Second, the whole exchange at the end of the chapter reduced me to giggles. I love it!

Sid is being a big baby about getting married to Wyn and not owning up to in public. That's a dick move. I hope he gets his feelings in order soon or she'll be moving into that room. I loved this update. I love Sid and Wyn I wish the honeymoon phase still existed for them!

I am so angry at Sid right now, how dare he treat Wyn that way, she's his wife. Sid needs to man up now, speak to the media about it, he doesn't have to go into detail, but he has to be honest. Obviously the media are gonna find out who Wyn is, and I can't wait to see how they and the fans react, I hope it's positive as Wyn is great.

Yeah, glad she's aired her feelings. It must suck to be treated and to feel like his dirty secret, like he's ashamed that he might be connected with her.

Frankly, Sid was and is a moron. Not sure what he, his agent, and his PR people were thinking by not releasing a statement. I can't believe that they didn't force him to do so. He's so carefully regulated and so thoroughly media-trained that this lapse is frankly unbelievable. His camp had a chance to control the spin by breaking the story themselves. He or they chose not to. He shouldn't be angry because it's out there, and he shouldn't treat her poorly because he's upset. He's a complete moron if he thought that it wouldn't blow up when it came out. Anyone could have told him that it would. He's a very private person, I understand that and respect that and so should all of his fans. But they don't all respect that. The part of the world that is aware of who Sidney Crosby won't all respect that. But it's not good to hide relationships, marriages, or spouses. If he was planning on doing that, he should have left her in Cole Harbour or let her stay in Boston.

Besides, what was he thinking not taking his ring off? With the risk of injuries, he's kinda foolish for not taking it off anything he's on the ice.

Because nothing really came out (in the media) about Wyn in the prequel, I wondered how you were going to handle it. Beautiful! Please update soon!
