Is anyone else holding their breath to know what's going on? I know I am! Can't wait to find out who "we" are suppose to be. And about the circumstances surrounding it. Maybe we are a physiologist who wrote that letter to gain her trust and to see if she is in fact, insane. :) update soon!

Great story but where's the suspense in the story. I was lurking for it.

This is really, really different! I have never read something narrated like this. I think the way you're giving us all a look inside of the daily life of this character is really immaculate. I have never ever read anything like this and I'm looking forward to more.

Mibbaween Treat: Again awfully sorry about the late treats!
On to the story! I love the different style of narration and you have pulled it off excellently. I like that we can assume what the visitor is saying while getting a good look inside the narrators head.
This is quite sad, the line in the second chapter about the narrators parents coming to pick them up broke my heart. I loved how the character still had hope and I loved how from the letter in the introduction it connected the reader to the narrator.
The narration style appealed to me greatly and suck me right in! Great job girl!!

Like probably everyone else who commented, I actually really like your writing style, at least for this piece. To be honest, I thought it would eventually come to a point where you admit that it's all in the narrator's head because that's just the kind of story it is. Not many stories would work with this kind of writing, but you've pulled it off quite well.

It was beautifully written, good job!

This was really different yet intriguing. Your narration is totally unlike anything I've read on here but you've done it so well. I think it works really well with the plot of this story, it sort of adds to her insanity, if that makes sense? Anyway, this is great!

Again, this is another interesting idea.

I really like the one sided narrative, and it works especially well in this context, because it's almost as if she is not really present with this relative but is talking to herself, convincing herself that she's not crazy. The setting of the asylum seems almost apocalyptic! I can't imagine that any such place would ever exist now, but the descriptions are vivid. The things about the tunnels almost remind me of Girl, Interrupted which I guess is a fitting comparison. As for using insulin as a sedative, I certainly hope that no one has experienced that!

The description of the story confused me a little, as I wasn't sure why the admittance of insanity would mean she could come home, but I suppose this will all be revealed in time. The mysterious crime is definitely making me want to read on, and the calm way in which the narrator speaks about her appalling living conditions is excellent character development, as it already creates an emotional disconnect between the narrator and the reader.

    Good work! An interesting piece.

I adore the form of narration you've chosen! I'm getting chills with each chapter, definitely recommending this because everyone on Mibba needs to read this. Wow. I can tell you've done your research, it's portrayed in a way where I feel like I'm the insane one, and I think from the author's point of view, that's a success ^_^ The short choppy sentences in Chapter One surprisingly flowed brilliantly and it gave off such character and voice. I can tell she's hinting at the obsessive desire for seclusion and it's scary and intriguing. You. are. so. magnificently. talented. :)

    God Bless!!

Ooooohhh. Myyy goodness. I literally have just gotten done with your story description and I'm speechless. It's so vividly portrayed and you both include and omit all the right details. I know this is not a "professional" comment, but I wanted to say this before I started chapter one, because it just struck me as brilliant and comment worthy :)

Wow! I gotta say through my candy bowl I've found a lot of different types of stories and this is one of the ones that I'm glad I got to see! The narration is very different and I rather enjoy how it goes. You don't know what anyone else is thinking or saying you're only with the main character. It's very different, and certainly dark with a slight hint of hope that maybe this person will get out of there. It also brings the question of why is this person a patient.

It's enough to keep me interested and I will be tuning in for each update! I am very curious to see the end result. =]

So I'm coming here from my candy bowl and wow I actually stumbled upon something really interesting. At first when I started reading I was turned off by the point of view but then I instantly realized what you were doing and I was totally sucked in by that. I actually genuinely like the way this was written and when I read it, I hear in this really creepy, echoing voice. This is seriously amazing, definitely keep writing this. I can actually almost see the insanity. Wow

This is so strange and very intriguing. I like how different the writing is, and like the comment below, be able to put the pieces together. I like how your focus is not really on speech but thoughts. I do hope you continue this soon.

This story is creepy, but in such a great way! I love the way it's written, as the main characters thoughts. I'm really already hooked on the story, it's so mysterious, there's almost no back story. It's nice as a reader to be able to figure out the story, and not have it obviously in my face.

Keep up the great work, because I will definitely keep reading!

Ooooooh, this story gives me the chills, but in a good way. I like the way this is narrated because it's not the way you'd usually narrate a story like this. It's tricky to do, with only one person speaking the entire time, but you pull it off! It's brilliant and very suspenseful and leaves you wanting to know more about the characters! Great job.

This is unique. I love the premise for it, and the way it flows is brilliant. I read all four chapters before I knew it. I am definitely subscribing and rec'ing this story too. Also you have me on the edge of my seat with your main character. I mean, I get she killed a man to get in the asylum, but why did she? And with holding info like her name and the why of her case gets me even more curious. The letter from the summary captured my attention and curiosity too. Like why don't her parents want her anymore and why can't she go home? I love it!

Oh wow this is really good. I love the narration. I expected it to be in the POV of the distant cousin but nope, it's the POV of the "crazy girl" which is soooooooo much more interesting. And on top of that, it's 2nd point of view and we don't see much of that around here.

One thing I would ask is to see a little but more detail on her surroundings and how she's dealing with being considered mental and whatever. Chapter 4 definitely deals with that but I think you can focus more on it in the upcoming chapters and seeing her interactions with the world around her, and also her grief/anger/whatever on her parents abandoning her, which I'm assuming will be addressed anyway.

The layout for this story is simple and I like it, I would just probably change the font of the text (but that's my personal opinion so whatever).

This is a really good story! :)

Well damn! If I had parents like the summary gave imagery to, then I would become insame too!

Woo...first chapter is deep. (I'm commenting as I go through the chapters.) I love the narration. It's new, something I'm not use to. But, I like it.

Chapter two and her parents are bastards. I mean...they were before, but now? Hmm--bastards. She believes that they will come for her. Althought deep down inside, I have a feeling that she knows that they will not be coming.

Chapter three and NO WINDOWS?! What the hell! I would definitely go insane without sunlight. A warm summer breeze? Not even a draft of cold air. I'd like to see them try to give me a shot and a cold bath. They'll be joining me.

Four and I must say that chapter was especially dark and dismal. I loved it. Haha. Oh no. Charlie isn't crazy. He's just had a bad day. :)

I really like this story! Very creepy edge, especially with your use of 'real' characters, very interesting. Can't wait to see where you take this, especially with the bit of a cliffhanger at the end there, are they going to escape or ...? Can't wait to see!

Also you're A/N got me really interested in who the main character is now, can't wait to see!
