Emily, Emily, emily. Girl needs to get the hell out of her own head!

(And onto Brian's thingy but that's a whole other chapter all together).

This chapter can be summarised in one sentence: I miss Jimmy. Like a whole lot. It gave me all the feels :(

THIS FRIGGIN CHAPTER IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES!
Just hanging out at the Spot, underage drinking, talking of our sins! AND JIMMY! I can never handle him. The way you write him is PERFECT. I crack up every time!

whoa a new story!

i really like it so far. i loved all the dialogue with her and the boys in the first chapter... especially with jimmy. :) and i really liked the second chapter to see her relationship with her aunt and cousins. super cute. i'm excited for this story!

Emily and her family are my favorite! They are just absolutely adorable! And Emily just wanting to make her aunt happy and everything. I just, yes, I feel you Emily, I feel you. I seriously cannot wait to read more and more! I love this story! <3

I enjoyed getting to see more of the family dynamic in this chapter, to get more insight into Emily's relationship with her aunt and her cousins. It helps build the world inside this story so much, and family relationships are something that people tend to forget about in stories. Hell, even I do it. But it's just portrayed so beautifully in this story, I love it!

Please tell me you based the kids off your newphews because that is adorable. I love this family & I hope they're there for Emily when she needs it, even if she doesn't realise it.

I thought this was really great for a first chapter - it introduced us to Emily and her family, it established Emily's character, and her relationship with Brian and her other friends. All in all, I think it pretty much achieved the goal of what a first chapter should be whilst staying light-hearted and entertaining.

I've always loved the way you characterise the guys because, like Taylor said, all their conversations and interactions with each other just seem so organic and real. I can totally see this being how they acted when they were teenagers.

But my absolute favourite moments would have to be the conversation about Jimmy being a hobo and hanging out on the beach and how that quickly changes to a conversation to who would pull in the most money working as a stripper, lol. It all happens so fluidly through the dialogue. And I love how you keep up the running joke of poking fun at Zack's weight. Jason calling him "very healthy" had me

I loved this chapter, but you already knew that. The interactions and relationships are just so organic and realistic. Just perfect!
