I will say that I don't care for the characterization of Catherine as whore. That's slut-shaming. Regardless of if she knew about Maggie or not, Kris made the choice to sleep with her, to put himself in the position of getting drunk and sleeping with her. He's to blame. She may or may not share blame; she might not even have known he had a girlfriend.

I don't support what Catherine said to Maggie but you gotta look at things from her point of view. She's pregnant, she's alone in a foreign city looking for her baby's father. Parents will do horrible things to protect their children; maybe she wants very much for her kid to have its father in their lives and she's trying to defend her 'territory'. Maybe she's just not a nice person.

Regardless, calling her a whore is uncool just because she slept with a guy.

Actions have consequences; Kris' choice to sleep with his ex will have life-long consequences. I fully support Maggie's choice to dump him and I hope he stays dumped.

I will say that I think she needs to have a serious convo with Letang to tell him that she's never getting back to him and that he made his choice. Regardless of his relationship with Catherine, he has a duty to his child and that should be his primary concern. She needs to tell him so he can get over himself and let her go.

I didn't see that at first! I was like wait what that's the end??? But then I read that and everything was okay.

Also, things I absolutely love about this story:
1 Maggie is a tough ass bitch. No one messes with her.
2 Even though Kris cheated on her, she isn't asking to be traded. She's staying strong and facing her problems instead of running away from them.
3 MAGGIE ISNT PREGNANT. I hate when people write stories about women in the nhl and they get pregnant. Like no, they're careful with that shit. This is her career. She's not gonna jeopardize that just for a night of raunchy bliss.
4 Maggie and Mike's relationship. Just love it.
5 I feel like I never know what's gonna happen next. Some things I can predict but then you throw in stuff like Kris's pregnant whore and everything gets turned upside down.
6 Maggie isn't always getting hurt. Sure there are injuries here and there, but nothing too extreme. (Again, tough ass bitch)
7 No one in the league is really targeted as a bad person. Maybe a rough player, but not a mean individual. Not off the ice.

Anyway, sorry for the long comment. But I thought I'd share exactly why I love this story. Again, excited for the sequel!

100% team Kaner. Kris doesn't deserve her anymore and Pat will take care of her, even if they're in different cities. I'm not gonna lie, I got really upset when I saw you were ending it at 80. But now I can't wait for the sequel!!!

Yes! I agree. Everything is the right way, even if it's not exactly happy. Too many great stories take bad turns and I wouldn't change anything about this one.

I feel so bad for mags... but I love this story. I wouldn't change a thing
