It's getting to me too! Ahhh but I can promise there will be progress in the next chapter...

They need to tell each other they miss each other! I know they're being stubborn and scared, but they need to be together!

"Heartbreak is the national anthem" and it seems to be this story's too.

This chapter made me want to listen to sad songs and read Bukowski. It was simple, but deep, it spoke to my heart.

Aw it's so sad that they miss each other that much. I get Lei's hesitation to try and fix things though. But hopefully something happy happens soon.

They both need to realize that they love each other and obviously miss each other and get over all these problems! I want them together, and they just need to talk it out and she on her way to marriage and another baby!

So glad she woke up. And with her memories. But now John and Leigh will have to either work at their relationship, or work on learnig to live without that type of relationship but still somehow be there for Lucas together.

I read it like 4 times, I swear. And I still don't know what to say. I'm so so happy she woke up and remember him and aw her little monkey Lukey too. And damn, so was so colad-hearted. But I get it. I'm glad she was. He deserved it. He needs to fix them!

I want them be together, happy.

Ok, I'm caught up now and WHYYYYYY?! I'm glad Leighton woke up, but dang, homegirl was so cold-hearted. I understand why she's so upset with John, but he admitted how scarred he was, how wrong he was, how much he loves her, and how he wants to fix things. I JUST WANT JOHN AND LEIGHTON TO BE TOGETHER. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR?!

I'm having to play some catch up so I don't have all the chapters read yet, but I just read the part where Lucas told John that Leighton said he gave up on her and I'm about ready to cry. Just thought you should know the emotional distress you are putting me through!

(Before reading the update, my comment about chapter 34)

Last chapter was beautiful. John's words and feelings were so worthy reading, they only reinforce that their love is bigger than their problems. It's a shame it took all of that to him realize what he wants and what he should have done ("when I was your man..." you tell him Bruno Mars). Maybe it's not too late.

Halvo is 100% right. "It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good" John needed everything that happened in order to be a better man. It's like some people that need a cancer to start living.

I know we shouldn't cling to miracles, but they do exist and Leighton deserves one. It's not like she will come out of it like Sleeping Beauty, she will have some challenges (to walk, for example, considering she's in a bed for so long and she is too weak to stand up by herself), HOWEVER I believe in the good, I believe that believing in survival is what make us survive*.

This chapter kind of made me hate Leighton. Like, a lot. I'm happy she woke up and everything but she doesn't have to be such a raging bitch all the time.

I feel like I am constantly flipping back and forth between feeling bad for John them Lei! This chapter it was John.
They are both so frustrating, I just want them to get over all the crap and be together and happy with Lucus.
I am very happy though that she got her memory back, because I had no idea where this story would have gone if she didn't.
Can't wait for the next chapter.

These two frustrate me to no end. I'm so glad she's awake and has her memory back. I feel like they will need to talk about stuff without arguing, if that's even possible at this point.
