Well it's quite probable that you only think that because you're looking at them through Mibba. It's not that I dislike this site at all, it's just that I like AO3 better, and I guess you could say my fics are more popular on there.

On any account though, thanks for reading, and thank you for being so sweet!

Okay, so I've started reading your fics pretty recently, and I must say: I don't understand why you don't have more comments and/or recommendations, because your fics are pretty awesome and they deserve recognition. So yeah, I enjoy your Frerards, and good job :3

Damn, I have to say, Gerard certainly knows how to mess up big time. I think Gerard's desire to get away from it all and delve back into familiar habits is a natural reaction to everything that's happened to him recently. He's in denial about needing help, and unfortunately sometimes it takes sinking down real low to realise that you need help.

I totally emphasise with Mikey. My own brother is an alcoholic, who went through depression and a suicide attempt last year. Some people might read the 100+ missed calls as being unrealistic, but having been in a similar situation, there is no fear quite like it, and his desperation was gotten across really well.

Gerard thinking he's going insane is actually quite heartbreaking. He's swimming in depression, on top of questioning is sanity. He's in such a tough boat. Hopefully Mikey will talk him into seeing someone to get help.

I can only imagine how Frank is feeling. He's probably feeling guilt, which he doesn't deserve. He was completely right to not just blindly jump into something with Gerard, someone who believed he was straight, and now he's going to feel responsible when all he did was do the right thing and not take advantage of Gerard.

Great chapter, I think it was wonderful so don't be unhappy with it! I'm already looking forward to the next update.

I finally got around to reading this, and this is so good.

You bring Gerard to life in this, and his depression, confusion and frustration is written and dealt with with finesse and realistically. I suffer bouts of depression myself (nothing as extreme as Gerard's) so I empathised with the feelings you so creatively explore. The way he he tries to be happy sometimes, and other times when he's almost content with the idea of unhappiness. The line when he says he feels happiness just isn't for him summed it up perfectly for me, because I think anyone who suffers from depression identifies with that feeling. Gerard may seem like an over-dramatic character to anyone fortunate enough to never suffer from depression or bi-polar, but I think he's convincing, realistic and it's rare to see this kind of character written in such an original and real way. His dislike of his home town resonates with me because I'm currently back in mine at the age of 26 and I hate it too. Well, not hate but, I understand the suffocation and general desire to not want to live your life by the standards of small minded people.

Mikey's frustration and occasional impatience is another thing that brings a touch of reality to this. It's a natural reaction from the people who love you the most when they're trying to help, and either it fails or you just won't let them. Pete so far seems like a nice background character, and it would be nice to see a little more of him. Frank is just adorable in his own way. He's able to understand Gerard, because they're opposite ends of the same spectrum. I like how Frank didn't just go 'Oh, I've been waiting for this forever, I'm in love with you' when Gerard kissed him, so thank you for not doing a cliche (which you never do anyway).Seeing Gerard reach for the beer was heartbreaking, but not unexpected given what he's going through.

This story is great, it's as perfect as all your other stories. Can't wait to see another update.

I don't believe it can be cured either. I believe depression is something that a person learns to deal with.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, things like that always make me so sad, and feel terrified of ever putting people I love through that. My friend is okay, right now, her family knows. She doesn't exactly have the most supportive family but I know they want her to at least be alive.

Personally, for me, I don't like antidepressants. I don't like the way they dull emotions and take away from a persons personality.

    Thanks for reading!

I'm proud of you for admitting your struggles. Many people won't mention them because they think there is still such a stigma attached. I think it is good to talk about it. If you get it out in the open, it is freeing and you find that so many people are going through the same things. I suffer from depression and several other mental issues. I have weekly therapy and take Adderall, Celexa, Hydroxyzine HCL, Lamactil, Oxcarbazepine, Prochlorperazine, Wellbutrin XL, and Xanax XR daily. I know that is an unbelievable amount of drugs! It is a pain in the ass, but without them I would not still be here.

I am sorry about your friend. March was the one year anniversary of my friend's suicide. It is so hard to watch others go through so much pain - especially when you are experiencing the same thing. I just hope your friend gets the help she needs. I know it would break a trust, but if she is not seeing a doctor and her family doesn't know, you should find a way to tell them. Believe me, it is better to have her mad at you but still have her here.

Best of luck to her and you. I am enjoying your story and although I don't think you can overcome serious depression, I do believe that you can learn to accept and live with it if you have help and support.
