It's been said a lot below, but I feel like the simple interweaving of the two separate relationships works really well! We get to see them in a group setting, but you've also got that individual aspect where we can get to know both characters really well as separate people. I find with a lot of band stories where multiple characters start dating multiple band members that you miss a little bit of the individual characters, but here you've got the mix of relationship and home life -- things like Wren's epilepsy being mentioned and the Holly's brother having issues that she tries to help sort just add a three-dimensional spin onto the characters.
I love the characters, as well. Zacky has this childlike wonder to him that compliments Wren's more subtle character, and Brian has this self-confident air that again, compliments Holly's more motherly figure. It's really interesting to see the characters bounce off one another in the way that they do in each individual chapter. There's two very different relationships going on here as well -- Zacky and Wren remind me of the whole love-hate trope, whereas Brian and Holly seem to be bouncing off of one another in almost a cocky way.
I don't think I've really read anything like this before -- it's refreshing and interesting! I'm not the hugest fan of straight romance, so I love that we have a little glimpse into Wren and Holly's lives as well as the budding romances. We get to see both women be strong professionals with their careers, and I really like that! I'm excited to see where this goes!
I've liked that we've gotten to see the relationships between Holly and Brian and Wren and Zacky develop separately. I feel like that's really helped develop the girls as two separate people and really showcase their individuality, especially because they're both "dating" guys from Avenged Sevenfold I'm hoping we'll get to see them interact more in the future, because so far they sort of just have mutual friends, so I'm interested to see if/how their friendship develops.
I've liked that the relationships between them are sort of evenly paced as well. Both of the relationships are clearly different, but they seem to be going along at a steady pace and are so of mirroring each other, in a way, which I've enjoyed reading.
This story is absolutely amazing. I can not wait for more, I am hooked on Zack and Wrens story the most but both story lines are perfect, post more soon!
I love the story line so so much. And I love how you show the lives of them and how the guys fit into it, not so much now but I know more soooooon. And they style is amazing <3 <3 <3
Date or no date, it's really telling how they're both able to begin opening up about their respective situations/problems (divorce and parent's death). Another wonderful update, and I can't wait to see what the next one brings!
That should have been a date! But since Wren opened up to him and talked about her parents, I think that means that they definitely need to go out on a date soon! Loved the update!
