I just found this story and read all the chapters you have posted. I love it so much and can't wait for you to post the next chapter!!!!

Oh, wow. Amanda really fucked up this time, huh? Selling herself AND jacking up with a child in the house? *shakes head* I don't blame Brian one bit for kicking off, I would have done a lot worse. At least Brian got him out of there!

While I'm sad that Gavin lost his mother, I can't say that it isn't a blessing in disguise. I just hope the poor little mite isn't too upset.

I hope the grandparents aren't going to cause more drama, that's the last thing Gavin needs, as well as Brian and Kara. If they're sensible, then they'll wait, like Brian asked them to.

Omg amazing chapter!!! Kara and Gavin bonding was the best thing that happened!!! I loved that he wants her to be his mom and is excited for the baby!! I think the grandparents have another motive which is really shitty of them...Gavin loves his dad hope he doesn't get taken away by them. Amanda's overdose was probably a suicide, but honestly she had it coming...what a sad girl to have a chance with your child to fuck it up!! Brian's reaction was tame in my opinion! I probably would have killed her for doing that near her son. Can't wait to see what happens next!! The drawing he left there was hilarious!!!!

Wow - amazing chapter!! I agree about the grandparents - I hope they don't have ulterior motives and just want to be able to see and get to know Gavin. I believe Amanda's death was a suicide after learning she fucked up royally and would never see Gavin again. I absolutely loved the talk Kara and Gavin had. It brought tears to my eyes. Everything she said was perfect. I'm so glad to see they seem like a perfect family - just wondering if Gavin will have any setbacks!! Loved the bit about the drawing - bad bad Brian!!!

I think what Brian did was right and justifiable. I think her overdose was accidental. I'm really glad that Gavin is opening up more to Kara. And what the fuck were they doing the night before that the drawing was lying around like that?? Lmao updates soon!!!

Amanda deserved it for what she did, but may have been a suicide. I'm hoping that the grandparents have good intentions..... I think Kara was right :) and well, that was an oopsie on Brian's part

I feel terrible for poor Gavin too! He's been through so much and I think it would be more worrisome if he didn't seem to be struggling at all. Interesting theory about why he was so upset about Ray and Kara kissing each other on the cheek! I'm glad you liked the way she handled it too. I agree that he can't keep getting away with everything and that it's a good thing that Brian and Kara are on the same page. We'll find out how Gavin's mom's mess ups affect him in the next chapter, the poor kid just can't catch a break. Thanks for the awesome feedback, as always!

Oh, bless him. I feel for the poor boy. Yes, trying to make Brian and Kara fight was wrong, but he's still young and he's still trying to figure out his roll in this new family environment.

I also have a sneaky feeling that maybe seeing Ray kiss Kara, made him feel insecure? Like, he sees how happy Kara and Brian are, and her kissing Ray (even though it was platonic) made him think that Brian and Kara would fight? I don't know, just a theory.

I think Kara handled it perfectly, though. He needs to know when he's in the wrong. If she kept sugar coating everything, he would get away with murder, and think that it's okay for him to do it. So, I think she handed it well. I'm glad that Brian agrees, too, they need to show a united front.

Ohh, okay, that's the real reason for him getting upset. He just wants his mum and dad to be together as a proper family. Bless him :(

Awwwww, Brian has yet again made me cry! Dammit, man! Hopefully, now that Gavin knows Brian tried everything he could to be a part of his life, he and Brian can grow a lot closer. And in turn, grow closer to Kara. I think that's all he needed to hear was that Brian didn't just give up on him.

Another "awww" moment. I think Gavin just needed to hear some nice things about him, and not feel like Kara was trying to patronize him to try and get into his good books.

I'm so glad they are starting to come together as a family, the only way is up for them all now.

This was such an awesome chapter. I love that Ray and Kara still hang around together. I think Gavin is finally starting to realize that Kara only wants what is best for him and Brian and that is just to be one happy family. I hope Gavin is alright at his mom's until Brian gets there.
