A Piece of Art - Comments

  • There is an honesty in this that is haunting. I feel as if I'm seeing the wounds in this character's mind, and it's so beautiful, so tragic. It also feels a bit innocent, which I have no idea how you even pulled that off while dealing with a topic like addiction, one that is at such an extreme end. I love how you end it as well, it shows a certain sort of hope. You did a wonderful job, and I wish I could offer you more words of praise, but it seems that these are all I have.

  • This was beautiful. It's so dark, and I love it. The descriptions are fantastic, and I really like how you describe Iggy's relationship with Pete, but not Pete himself, if that makes any sense. It makes the story seem more mysterious. I find it kind of strange and twisted (as he does) that Julian wishes he could hurt Iggy. But he loves her and I guess in his mind that's what she wants in a relationship? That's what I'm inferring. I just kind of wish Julian could or would take Iggy away from the life she's living, because maybe once she's taken an absence from Pete and gotten sober, she'll see that drugs and an abusive relationship isn't what she wants.

    Beautifully written, nice job!

  • This piece was beautiful. I especially loved: "You are not only addicted to alcohol and drugs in life, there are other things too."

Your description was beautiful as well. I actually felt this story, as strange as that sounds. Your style of writing is also amazing and rather unique. Very beautiful.

  • This is really beautiful and magnificently written. I love the descriptions that you use, they really do paint a picture a picture in the reader's head of the scenario and what your character looks like. And I love the whole concept that she doesn't belong to him, but she's art to him and that he has her in his head. It captures that longing that he feels so well. I just adore this. Good job!

And I am totally digging her name. Just sayin'.
